Did you ever try this?
It's been particularly hot here in western NY these last couple weeks, and any time it's over 90d outside it either overheats after charging for a while or right away. Today it was reading overheat even without the truck plugged in, and it was only 87 degrees.
Charger...
I should have looked at the dates. It took 3ish months to go that far.
That makes sense, but you're not comparing apples to apples. The ICE f150 doesn't get free gas on their cross country trip.
@MidAtlanticLightningClub
Your averaging $0.13/ kwh at fast charger? That's better than I get at at home.
11800/1.17=10085.4kwh
$1316/10085.4=$0.13/kwh
I dont see how that's possible. When getting 1.7mi/kwh and paying $0.56/kwh on fast chargers (I've seen $0.47 once) you're paying $0.33/mi which is higher than any modern gas 1/2 ton when gas is $3/ gallon, and that's without a trailer.
With a trailer is probably double.
According to your chart, it appears the more kwh added, the lower the losses, all the way down to 4%. Do you think there is a "ramp up" for conversion or maybe battery heating/cooling that happens initially?
I am in Western NY, so same same.
And thats a crazy statement to compare it to a f250 powerstroke. Capabilities aren't the same and neither is weight.
Im not saying I regret the purchase, but it certainly isn't how it's advertised.
I only have a lifetime average of 1.8mi/kwh over 55,000...
Just today I connected the FCSP to the fordpass so I can adjust charge rate. For the last year and half I've had it charging at 80A every time with the TOU set to only charge off peak.
I do have AC coupled solar rated at 26kw, and the Emporia Vue (just set that up too). Have not found a way to...
How are you all getting 2+ MPK? Granted I have the Lariat with Extended range battery and have only had it during winter months so far, but I never get more than 1.9MPK, usually down around 1.6.
Does it make much difference to have a little extra weight in the cab all the time? IE: 3 car seats...
