I am sure of it as I just had the wrench and I cleaned up my battery and all was great, drove all day next day no wrench and then later came on, but next time I started it went away again. Yesterday cam on after leaving my door open accidentally for 2 hours but drove for a while and next start...
well i'v been quiet here lately but yesterday go the wrench at 101,000 km. I decided to look at the 12 volt and it was corroding (here in Canada lots road salt) so I clean it all up and wrench gone until today after about 120km distance it came back on. all working normal no reduced power but...
truth is I have no idea as I have never had to change a motor, even on higher millage vehicles so it was a guess from the old days watching my uncle grab a motor from the local wreckers and pop it in his 77 f150 while drinking a case of beer which he had room on the fender for, seemed easy and...
Yes I have heard of teslas with high mileage on OG batt, well hoping my great experience thus far continues, I will note I do very little hi amp dc charging, almost all at home at 32 amps 7kwh
I have run 5 Toyotas 3 tundra's and 2 Tacoma's to high millage, have run dodge ram to 330,000Km no issue motor but trans yes
have one those Tacoma's with 240,000 km on the 4 banger still cannot kill it.
BUT this was not the intent of this question, I am curious about peoples experience with...
also I have no equipment to tell me the state of the battery but I can go by daily max exhaustion of the battery and I seem to get same miles I always have from what I can tell.
I understand what you are saying but ice you can fix any issue or even replace a motor for reasonable price but the battery which I admit I have no idea what its cost to replace is but that is the only fear of keeping beyond the warranty. I have heard some pretty huge numbers from tesla owners...
Curious to know what are the highest millage lightnings on this forum
I am at 61000 miles 98300KM
so far so good, I'm at a crossroads trade if I can (maybe not possible for me in canada with tariffs) or keep running which I would love to do if I think I can beyond warranty of batt
I think the real issue was said here by someone, this cheap plastic stove outlet is not designed for continuous max power and either same person or someone else also made a good point the terminal loosened as these cheap things cannot be torqued. I must say I still did not know that resistance...
LOL Robertson screw, I am not using this charger chargepoint is replacing it, I did not realize that plug was removable.
In any event I am moving in a few months and removing this entire wire, my next house I will run a bx line to the charger and hardwire it.
As for the other fellas comment...
I am pretty sure the chargepoint charger is a plug option only and cannot be hardwired. My ford charger at another location is hardwired.
I never unplug this so it was not caused by unplugging the unit but I do understand the lug likely was not tight after 2.5 years of hot and cold, also you...
Thank you for that but... the receptacle is 50 amp, ok it is not designed for continuous load (i didn't know that they were not) but why the wire melted like that, it seems as if one leg was pulling a lot of current.
I will get an continuous use receptacle and replace this stove one.
I had a chargepoint charger fail yesterday and it has left me confused about some things, hoping electricians or anyone that knows how this could happen help me understand.
I went to my garage in the morning and could smell that burning electrical smell and discovered my charger plug was...
This is Brilliant in places where needed like CANADA! I personally am ok in the gta of Toronto but in winterpeg or similar I could see this as a real great boost to the range-o-meter, NICE work
