My truck is dead at the dealer right now. It needs a heater module that is on backorder and there's no ETA. No loaner, either.
I really, really hope I don't have a similar experience, it's been 10 days...
Too bad GRIZZL-E isn't on your list, it's a bombproof dumb box with no stupid wifi crap. Designed to be installed outdoors and survive Candian winters. It's $350 so if that's your out-of-pocket on these other chargers I'd recommend the GRIZZL-E.
Otherwise pick one with as little plastic as...
Thanks for all the responses, I'm not going to worry about it. The service department has been great through all this, which is a relief because the other Ford dealers much farther (further?) away.
Can't wait to get the truck back :-(
Thanks for the tips! Unfortunately the heater is what’s broken LOL. Waiting on a coolant module. I’ll ask them to plug in a microwave for a couple days.
My truck is waiting for parts at my local Ford dealer. At some point while diagnosing the truck they charged it to 100%. (I thought I set the default to 90 but the last report in Ford Pass reported 100%.) I have no ETA yet, right now the truck is parked and fully charged. I was told it’s not...
My truck is at the dealer for a dead heater, which required them to drop the battery. I bought it about 9 weeks ago. I'm not that upset, except I have to drive my 2003 VW camper van which feels like the Flintstones car after driving the Lightning.
Another source of a branded title is an accident that did little visible damage. Repair costs can be so extreme on a modern car that the adjuster will total it even though it's perfectly safe to drive...
I think you could get a Level 2 home charger installed for less than $2K. I installed a Grizzle-E charger at home. $350 for the charger, $15 for a 50A breaker, $80 for a commercial 50A receptacle, $30 for an enclosure, ~$7/ft for the 6ga wire. I did it myself but an electrician is probably...
Like others have said, installing solar at home changes the equation. Even with the up front cost, it's hard to argue with the long term payback if you adopt an EV.
If you ask me, the best reasons to drive an EV are all in the ride. Near silence and a supernatural power curve have me hooked...
Enjoy the eclipse, we caught it in 2017 and it is truly an awesome (literally) experience. So glad we can see it again this year, totality is only a couple hours away. Fingers crossed for clear skies!
I ordered an A2Z because I didn’t want to wait for Ford. I’ll probably sell one of them when the Ford one shows up.
I ordered the A2Z on March 6th and it arrived in about 3 weeks.
The $15K jump for the LR XLT wasnt going to happen for me, and I waited a very long time for any SRs to show up at dealers. By the time I was ready to buy a few Pros appeared at local dealers too, and they sold fast. You could get a Pro, after tax incentives and advertised discounts, for...
