12v replaced 5 months ago. Issue still present and unpredictable. I would not think removing the safety-2nd latch would be safe. I just wish I could hotwire the computer that controls it and make it open when it gets stuck or an extension of the latch somehow offering a manual release of it.

Never tried that. But my issue is usually not in the winter-because I don't want stuff stuck in there in freezing temps.

Yup out of warranty. That's not happening. $$$$.$$ to diagnose and bandaid repair. Nope. My brother who can take apart a 38ft motor home and put backtogether will be the next REAL repairman to work on it for me.

I need a trained mouse to get in and push the emergency button for me. I'll just put peanutbutter on the button, that should work. :)

I though I'd try this section for my Issue. On occasion, my Frunk gets stuck when opening, the first latch releases but the second one won't. Very sporadic. Can't replicate it myself. Dealer replaced the latch motor. Still does it. I've learned to live with it. I have a 8mm long handle wrench...

Only 600 miles? I did the 1000 mile lake michigan circle tour. Had the dreaded powertrain malfunction to keep me company half the way. 🤣

Yup, Android Auto does the same thing. It will be working perfectly then it finishes a track from any music app then the next track plays and no audio. Pause then play... nothing... pause then play again, sometimes that works sometimes not.
