Last week my dealer resolved the 1.7.1 Sync update failure. Now, Sync is updated and Auto Update is no longer grayed out. Now, the Widget no longer shows the Sync version, and OTA Update data still shows the 1.7.1 failure. Is this correct? Will missing and incorrect information remain...

The dealer started yesterday approx 1:30. He called and said he was just starting and had to run to Best Buy and buy wiring adapter. He called me this morning at 9:30 and said it was done. My guess on time -- 4-5 hours.

Just got my 21 F150 KR back from the dealer. He updated the software and all is working well. I had a job 1 production, with failed 1.7.1 and grayed auto update. Issues have now been resolved and Sync 4 version is updated. Will see how auto updates now work......

I called my dealer and referenced the TSB #. Going in next Wed for repair.

Agree. It is not even applicable to the failed 1.7.1 update. Don't know how the topic of BC even came up.

I inquired to my selling dealer. He told me OTA 1.7.1 had failed twice.

Just got back from AutoNation. The service manager attempted 2 manual updates. Both failed. He is contacting Ford to determine next steps. He said he would need Ford authorization for APIM replacement. I will update as updates are received.

I have an appointment with Autonation Service on Tuesday of next week. They will try to manually install 1.7.1. The Service Mgr can see in the Ford computer that there are 2 failed installations of 1.7.1. OTA Synch 4 system updates are frozen with same issues as has been reported by hundreds...

Hi Jesse! Can you please check my VIN # and let me know what you find? My VIN # is 1FTFW1E89MFA78177 . I dont believe I have ever received an update. Currenty, ABOUT screen is blank and AUTOMATIC DOWNLOAD settings are froze and cant be changed. I appreciate your assistance! Ken

Sorry, I do not have a video. I had the system installed in my 2013 F150 Lariat, which I traded in on a 2021 F150 King Ranch with B&O Unleashed. The system sounded great. Unless you are experienced with installing systems, you would probably need an installer, primarily for the Audison BitOne...
