  1. I love my Lightning. But Ford? Not so much...

Wow. A lot of background I didnt know. I love the lightning and always tell people it’s the best vehicle of any kind I’ve ever driven. In general I’ve had a good experience with the dedicated ford EV support people. They mailed me a free FCSP, sent me reimbursement for $700 for the...
  2. Farley on Mechanic shortages

Yes, at his service dept, they are required to work a certain amount of Saturdays. He loves working, so his co-workers pay him to take their Saturday shifts. So yes, he is hustling a bit but loves it.
  3. Farley on Mechanic shortages

my 19yo nephew did BMW apprentice/ training program straight out of HS. It was all in-house, no official trade school. He's now making over $100,000 per year with no debt what-so-ever. Also, he paid for his BMW X3 in cash. So I know that's at least true.

  5. Powertrain Malfunction/ Reduced Power: Fixed post #11

Just picked up truck completely fixed and freshly washed from the dealer in DFW right now. At a cost of on-the-house. I have to say I'm impressed. It was diagnosed and fixed a LOT faster than I expected. I picked up it on the third business day. It seems be driving normally and I'd already...

Ha, as I was typing this, the dealer called and said they were able to run a diagnostic on it and the high voltage battery cell #4 has failed. They have already ordered another one, estimates it will take at least a week to arrive to the dealership with approx 2 day install. Their loaners are...
  9. Powertrain Malfunction/ Reduced Power: Fixed post #11

Just curious, what is the wait time to get an EV mechanic to look at it? DFW is anywhere from 2 days to 14 days just sitting in the shop in line for them to plug it in. Rental? Loaner? Keep me updated on your case as well. Thanks for posting.

  12. Tesla Reportedly Has $800 Million Worth of Cybertrucks That Nobody Wants

One of the most biased articles I’ve read in a long time. It should have said “opinion” at the top of it. We get it, you don’t like Elon Musk.
  13. Have you noticed... (lesser known features of our trucks)

Can you post a pic of the clamp you used?
  14. Why a Day 1 Cybertruck reservation holder is getting a Lightning

Agree. Similar story as mine. I was a CT reservation guy also until i drove each. The lack of any rear visibility in the CT was an absolute deal breaker for me. Backing into and over things is a concern with me. The Lightning was just a much better truck imo. I traded my MYP and got the...
