It depends on the distance for sure. Preconditioning uses around 8kwh in my case. My commute is 25 miles each way, if I precondition I can get 2 miles per kw, if not I get 1.4. So in a 25 miles drive I could use 15kw more if not preconditioned. In the end I’m saving 7 kw and get a nice warm...

I’ve mixed feelings about it. I do love the ride quality and comfort, but I do hate the software/technology. I plan to sell it the moment that I can payoff my loan without taking more losses, but sometimes I’m glad that I’ve it (until some bug/problem happens and piss me off).

Tesla does a similar thing on very busy locations. When you start charging, the car automatically sets the limit to 80%, if you move past that you receive a notification asking you to avoid doing that to help others to charge. It’s a better approach once you still can charge to 100% if needed.

Just got the warning, no power when accelerating. Fortunately I was able to reach my work and will call AAA for towing it. Not even 3k miles on it. It is possible to have a buy back?

My comute is 30 miles each way. Mostly highway with traffic (max speed is 70mph), my best score was 2.2mi/kwh even on higher temperatures (80f). I do not accelerate hard and I use only 1 pedal drive. But I could never get a better consumption than this.
