I noticed the markings on the lightning adapter and have it installed the correct way. I did try flipping the usb cable at the adapter and noticed a different error on my comma.
Ive installed default openpilot for troubleshooting with comma support, but the difference is:
with the usb oriented...
Yeah, I'm going with bad comma3x. I've had it up and running for almost a year with little to no issues until recently. I originally had a modified (extended with resistors) Ford Q4 harness. Bought a new harness and lightning adapter to eliminate that. So I have all new everything except the...
No worries. Yea that is one of the ones I have been using to test. At this point all my testing is done off the windshield. just have the side pannel open for easy access with all the cables
Ok, lightning adapter arrived update.
I should have waited until the adapter arrived before making my last update, but it's here now, and I've tried it with two known-to-work USB cables, and I'm still getting errors. same errors on the truck and comma as before. The comma shows "canbus...
Okay, my new Comma harness has arrived, and even though I don't have the Lightning adapter yet, I've gone ahead and installed the harness and tried it with the USB cable that came with the new harness. It still doesn't work. I've gone ahead and tried eliminating points of failure again, and...
This is the way. I still, to this day, for longer trips anyway, plan my route in ABRP, check suggested stops in with PlugShare, then navigate with Google to each stop. I just dont fully trust googles suggested stops yet.
Interesting. I hadn't considered whether the power on/off sequence would make a difference. I don't have any particular consistency on how I connect/disconnect my comma. I always remove it from the mount and store it in the glovebox when the truck is parked. But while troubleshooting...
Ordered. I'll update here when they come in on whether it fixed the issue or not.
I didn't consider the harness box itself going out. Now I'm gonna pop that thing open when I get back home and start probing around.
Hey all, I've had my 3x installed and running with no issues on my '23 XLT for the past year with no issues, until the past few weeks. I started getting a "Canbus disconnected. Likely faulty cable error" message on the comma sporadically, and the truck would throw camera and parking sensor...
I second ABRP and Plugshare for longer trips. I use ABRP to plan my route and then navigate to each charging station with my preferred app.
Also, it hasn't happened to me in a while, but I have pulled up to chargers that were all out of order, so cross-checking the stations on your route with...
Got a new part number for the list. PZ1P-7P156-ED.
It was plug and play, and came out of a '22 Bronco Sport.
It has a blue ring around the base of the dial.
It is not motorized and electrically shifts back to P when you open the door in D.
"L" button activates N hold.
It will not rotate...
It makes me smile every time I see a post about these ?
They definitely did fill up with water and anything else that found its way in them until I drilled a large hole in the bottom.
Ok, so I'll try and answer your questions in order, and based on my experience of testing it with a few previously printed parts and on the truck shifter hole I posted about. Full disclosure: I have only owned and used it for a few days.
1. How easy is it to use, and how good are the results...
Nice! I like how the phone is hidden away. The phone getting extra hot when wirelessly charging is usually an alignment issue with the charger. You might be able to adjust where you have the charger mounted.
I've been working on a charger for my phone for the hole that the shifter folds...
