  1. Installed a New Bak Revolver X4s Tonneau Cover

BAK just sent me the cover again, so I didn't have to reinstall anything but the cover itself. I had to "destroy" the top and send them a few pictures. I just cut up the vinyl on the top, sent the pic, and they sent the new one. Installed the new one and it's perfect
  2. Anti-theft measures

You guys revived this thread and then changed what it was all about! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: That said, I'm not terribly worried about someone stealing the whole truck while it's on my property--it's parked behind my gate at night and @flatag, I'll see your "large" scary German Shephard and raise you...
  3. Installed a New Bak Revolver X4s Tonneau Cover

I've not put anything like what you mention in my bed yet, but the rails become basically an extension of the sides of the bed and are solid. I can't imagine the rails being damaged by mulch, gravel or dirt in a normal use pattern. I suppose you might scratch the rail, but pretty sure you'll...
  4. Installed a New Bak Revolver X4s Tonneau Cover

So, I emailed them the pictures and they took care of me. They immediately sent me another cover (without the rails). I just had to destroy the old one (I cut up the top) and send them a picture to keep my current warranty. Easy peasy. Excellent company that stands by their product.
  5. 275/65 r20 BFG KO2 pics?

They're right at 33 inches on the truck, though they're a 34 inch tire. I'm thinking they may be a little under inflated, actually, at 38ish psi cold. I might add a bit of air, to maybe 45 or so. Is anyone else running their K02s at over 40?
  6. Frustrated With Tonneau Search...Perfect Tonneau?

I was deciding between the Bak X4S, which is an aluminum, above-the-bed rollup, and the Retrax XR, which is a canister style rollup. I decided on the X4s because the whole bed remains usable, though, as you mention, the space above the bed is effectively shortened. If I need that space, on the...
  7. Installed a New Bak Revolver X4s Tonneau Cover

No worries, John! Text communication is fraught with misunderstanding! I was mostly amused by the certainty, tbh. Yes, it came like that-the pics I posted were from right after I installed it. It almost looks like they skipped that piece when they did whatever they do (weld?) to put the...
  8. Installed a New Bak Revolver X4s Tonneau Cover

Already done! I emailed last week and received a reply saying that it'll take a few days to get back to me with a full response. I'm assuming they'll make it right. From everything I've seen, they seem to stand by their products.
  9. Installed a New Bak Revolver X4s Tonneau Cover

Lol, I don't fight on the internet, but, wow, the absolute certainty you express while jumping to conclusions and being wrong at the same time is impressive! First, I did follow the instructions, including using the washers. Second, I took a look at the panels under the cover and found that...
  10. After market wheels/tires and horrible gas mileage.

How did you get your truck recalibrated? My dealer won't do it either and I've not seen anyone that has said that they've recalibrated via Forscan.
  11. Installed a New Bak Revolver X4s Tonneau Cover

21 inches from the higher ridges to the bottom of the X4S. Separately, does anyone have a ridge on top of the cover after installation? It's not a huge deal, I suppose, but the pictures and videos I've seen online are all perfectly flat...so this is bugging me.
  12. What do you use to wash your truck at home?

First, when you read this, know that I have zero affiliation with Chemical Guys, lol. I just use their stuff because I've always heard good things, the price is right, and they're California based, so I like that I'm supporting a local business. Plus, now that I use their products, I know they...
  13. SoCal Chat

When I was looking for my truck, I looked--online--all over southern California and found mostly the Star White in the trims I was looking at (Limited/Platinum/Lariat--I was looking for a land yacht, not a work truck ). I thought about the black, but my wife vetoed because she said I suck...

Yo! I'm from National City, but have been in L.A. for over 20 years now. My first car was a Ford Ranger purchased in La Mesa. ?
  15. Speedo Recalibration?

There's a thread on this in another forum: https://www.f150forum.com/f31/correct-your-speedometer-error-no-flash-tune-required-361473/ I don't know whether anyone has actually done it on a '21, though. I'm considering doing it, but would like to know that it works on the 14th gen, first.

  17. Ceramic Coating - Price and Details Thread

Which sensors would be affected by tint? I have my windshield slightly tinted (70%-I don't know that I would know if I didn't know) and haven't noticed any issues with any sensors. I don't know how the ceramic would affect any sensors, it's a super thin, completely clear coating.
  18. Ceramic Coating - Price and Details Thread

I've used tunnel washes on my previous vehicles...but I don't think I can do it after watching this: As much as it costs to ceramic coat your truck, either in dollars, if you pay someone else to do it, or time, if you do it yourself, it seems wasteful to do it then take your baby through that...
