Nevermind mine isn't working again. It's been 50 days since they disconnected that com wire, it worked 4 or 5 times in test shortly after, I ran it for 8 hours one test, but now after sitting it's back to the same failure mode - looks like it transferred but not actually powering the house for...
Right.
But if you do that during a grid outage the inverter is off and you're done until the grid comes back up. You'd have to open the inverter and try to repower it from the dark start battery and I don't know if that is possible.
You can reboot the FCSP by pulling the ds battery feed though...
My system is functional (though I feel like another test is in order as it's probably a month+ since they fixed it) but automatically transferring 100% of the time isn't quite there yet. I think the issue is the FCSP getting hung up with the Bluetooth connection. The Sunrun guys said the truck...
It's communications, they lifted the pin from the green connector. They left as much as they could but cut the exposed copper so it doesn't short with anything. I think they wrapped it up with the other unused conductors in the event it ever needed to be used in the future.
I need to make a new thread but I was able to get mine working after 70 plus emails with Ford engineering.
I would say that if your truck hasn't gotten updates you should pursue with Ford BEV hotline getting an appointment at a dealer to fix whatever is preventing that. In my case the gateway...
So whats the latest consensus on if people's systems are working now or still out of service?
I understand there are some inverter updates and truck software updates that are supposed to fix the majority of issues similar to what i have experienced but i'm not sure if the updates have gone out...
I always try to give the system it's best chance to work when I test it.
I reboot the charge station and the inverter by shutting down the ds battery with the m professional app. I've also tried to reboot the truck sync system prior too with no results.
I still have to try the no load test...
The dealer updated my apim or ipma module for one of the recalls or customer satisfaction programs (CSP 24B56 I think). If they don't do the procedure properly and recalibrate things the camera looks like that. I had to bring it in again for them to fix it, but they had no issues in doing it.
Similar here last update was in October per fordpass app.
In trying to fix the HIS errors I was told there would be OTA coming for that, when I told them I hadn't had any in a long while they checked and claim I should have gotten something since October. So the BEV people scheduled a dealer...
I did see this when you originally replied with it and appriciate your technical assistance. I apologize for not responding directly to it at that time, but I don't think any of these items are the culprit.
I most always test when no one is home and no major appliances are running. The AC...
Mine has acted pretty much the exact way you describe since last April or May except instead of firing up the inverter and supplying power to the house the charge station throbs green, truck buzzes like it's charging for 10 or 15 seconds before it faults with an orange LED ring and gives a...
In my ongoing quest to get this working I talked with the BEV people again and today was told something slightly different in that there will be a series of OTAs forthcoming to fix HIS issues. I wonder if one of them will be a firmware update to the charge station itself.
My truck hasn't had...
To get back on topic what is the status of the possible lawsuit? @nulafed still in talks or have any updates? Will someone else need to pick up where he left off or has it been determined a useless endeavor?
Yea and this is one of the cheaper ways to keep the solar production online during a grid outage. Plus with solar getting used first the system could last longer than advertised.
It'd be really nice if it worked.
