Nope. These are the Ford extended warranty. Just sold from a dealer (Granger Ford) instead of buying the warranty directly from Ford. The warranty starts from the date the vehicle was originally sold and zero miles.
When I started this thread over a year ago I had no idea it would be so active and stay active. But as you know there's a good reason for that. We ended up buying a new 2024 Lightning Lariat last October 1st. We quickly learned to love it so much that we ordered a 2025 Mach E GT to replace my...
I think Ford has been dropping some smaller features like the Garage Door Control off the last couple years to keep costs down and meet the under $80K price required for the $7500 Federal Tax Credit. Of course now that the current administration is doing away with that, we may see these features...
I know when I was shopping for my 24 last year there wasn't a single Lariat or Platinum anywhere that didn't have a sunroof, so I figured that just the way Ford did it for 24.
I didn't realize you could order a 25 Lariat w/o sunroof. Learn something new every day! There is a part number for that somewhere, because you could get a 22-23 Lariat without the sunroof. Might take a little research.
The ZC one is for Lariat and Platinum models With sunroof. If you are buying an XLT or Flash without sunroof, there's a different part number. But I don't think the stock one that comes on the lower trims has illumination either, so you won't have power there to connect it anyway.
Only the letter at the end is different being "B" instead of "C". The "C" is "Black" in color and the "B" is "Slate". JL3Z1504105ZC is on their website for $226.96. https://www.fairwayfordparts.net/oem-parts/ford-visor-assembly-sun-jl3z1504105zc
Example on a new vehicle. My 2024 Lightning has a production date of 5/24. The Goodyear tires on it have a date code of 1724. (17th week of 2024) That means when I took delivery of my truck 10/1/24 the tires were already 5 months old.
You have to look at the DOT date codes on the tires, not when you had them installed. You'd be surprised how many 1-2+ year old tires get installed from tire shops.
We never rotate our tires. Our vehicles never see more than 7500 miles annually if even that. Our vehicles are garaged when not in use. By the time the date code on the tires reaches 6 years, we replace them due to age and all tires are usually within 20% wear or less of each other. No risk...
I totally agree with you. I think a lot of Tesla owners didn't even know who Elon Musk was when they purchased their cars over a year ago. Everyone should certainly know by now however.
Ok. I get the software being better, but I know people with Teslas and I don't see that the materials and workmanship is equal. I see some compromise in that area. Not a huge amount but it's still visible. Time will tell as to to longevity of the most recent models. After seeing hot the CT is...
