I was get this message. Ford service found my keypad waking the truck up which was a drain on the battery. Here is link to that video - https://www.f150lightningforum.com/forum/threads/12-v-battery-tests-good-but-it-is-going-into-low-power-mode.34945/post-650480
I have been charging slowly most nights, 8 amps (~1.8 kW/hr) and my 12v stay above 90% SOC. My commute to work is not enough to charge the 12v daily, so the works for me.
I just got my 2024 Lightning back yesterday because it was going into sleep mode because the 12v was being drained. The battery was fine. The issue was the keyless entry #pad was waking up modules and cause a drain on the 12V. They replaced that and over night my 12v SOC was 98% today. So many...
Hey, I just dropped off my 2024 Flash at the dealer today because I was seeing the same issue. Quick result - my key pad was draining the battery. .... But I did a lot of troubleshooting and tried many things mentioned here before bringing it in. This fix is covered under warranty.... So happy...
WE energy in SE WI offers $.109/kWh for off peak rates (.30/khw peak). I've shift most of my charging to off peak (7pm to 7am). This does save but Wife does work from home so the peak rate stings a little.
Anybody have experience with the titles error message? Truck goes into deep sleep. I don't have devices connected, 12v battery (1.5 years old) is always above 85% SOC. Any thought?
I can second this. My truck was acting weird, randomly going into deep sleep and one day it was "bricked". Well I thought it might be the 12v so I was going to take it in for testing. I touch the neg wire and the truck came back to life. 10 mm wrench and few turns and never had an issue again.
Agree not for everyone. For me, the days I need more charge I turn my EVSE amps up (48 amps max). Key is to maximize the time the vehicle is charging, which means the LVB is charging. Not everyone can change the amps. Works well for me and easy to control from my phone.
I turn my EVSE down to 8 amps for small changes but extends the time charging. This is mainly to for the LVL battery maintenance. I use car scanner to check is SOC. Works well for me. Especially during this cold, cold weather.
Salty, so salty. Most Lightnings that are sold todate can't charge at 80amp (huge waste installing that)...so talk about it is just truck, yes it is and most here like factual conversation and will call out BS, but you do you.
WTH you talking about. I can run 48amps, but usually only set my EVSE around 16 amps(240v) for most every other day charging..... do you travel 250miles plus each day or only have few hours to charge?
This doesn't conflict with my comment one bit ...both situations can be correct at the same time. But you are giving the current tariff strategy a lot credit, It is a tax on the America people.
