  1. CCS1 Adapter to NACS - Canada Specific - COME ON FORD :(

I purchased a SuperTap from TeslaTap and then sold the Ford one once I received it. The SuperTap seemed to be better quality than the Ford product made in China. https://www.teslatapinc.com
  2. CCS1 Adapter to NACS - Canada Specific - COME ON FORD :(

Take a look at the SuperTap from builders of the original TeslaTap. They were a little late bringing them to market, but they made sure that the product was 100% before releasing at SEMA last year. They are out of Goleta California in the US and ship to Canada all of the time. As far as I...
  3. Lectron's Tesla Supercharger Adapter subject to tariff war

I know for a fact that final assembly of the SuperTap's is done in the US. They do not try and fool anyone, they state "most of the assembly is done overseas" to save costs. I have been to their facility in Goleta, California. I personally saw the CNC mills and lathes making parts for the...

  5. Lectron's Tesla Supercharger Adapter subject to tariff war

What makes you think that the adapter that Rivian is selling is made in the US? They are actually made in China for Tesla by (withheld) and then sold to Rivian. The only adapter I know of in the US is the SuperTap from TeslaTap.
  6. Tesla destination chargers level 2?

The dealers during their training were shown the TeslaTap MINI and were informed where to purchase them for their customers or to have their customers order them directly at https://www.umc-j1772.com
  7. Tesla destination chargers level 2?

If you received a NACS to J1772 adapter for Level 1/2 charging from Ford, it was probably a TeslaTap. Ford dealers have been purchasing them from TeslaTap since 2021 for their customers before the Superchargers were available to Non-Tesla manufacturers. But, I am going to guess that you were...
  8. Tesla destination chargers level 2?

I have used many different adapters. In my opinion the fact that the TeslaTap is machined out of a solid billet of Delrin rather than molded plastic and that the bus bars inside are solid rather than crimped connectors and wire. And their customer service is excellent if you have any questions.
  9. Tesla destination chargers level 2?

https://www.teslatapinc.com = SuperTap There is also a link right on the front page of the TeslaTap page to the SuperTap page. I had the same problem with the page being not secured. It was because I was following a link from a you-tuber that was to an unsecure address.
  10. Tesla destination chargers level 2?

Not at all... There is a huge difference between them.
  11. Tesla destination chargers level 2?

Why would anybody not spend a little more and get the highest quality "US BUILT" Level 1/2 adapter. ALL adapters EXCEPT real TeslaTap's are made in China. (Including Lectron and A2Z) http://www.myteslatap.com
  12. Tesla destination chargers level 2?

Go to https://www.MyTeslaTap.com They have the best adapters on the market. They cost a little more but for the quality it is well worth is.
  13. Home Vehicle Charging with lots of solar panels and net metering question.

You mentioned earlier that the panels were about enough to power the house without the truck. Since you are already using the power from the solar to power the house, when you are charging the truck it needs to pull it from the utility.
  14. Tesla tap super tap adapter

Yes, I have had different NCAS adapters and the Supertap appears to be the best one. The anodized aluminum rather than the plastic locks are very robust. The best part is that you can actually call them, and they will answer the phone.
  15. A2Z recall (NACS to CCS1 adapter) - overblown concern?

Hasn't anyone heard of an arc flash? If the locking mechanism fails and the handle comes out without the release and stop charging switch being activated, it could cause an arc flash and possible burn or kill someone. This is just my .02¢
  16. Here’s Why You Shouldn’t Buy A Knockoff NACS To CCS Adapter

I am just stating the facts. I was able to pick mine up at their location in CA and they showed me the machine shop and the differences in the products.
  17. Here’s Why You Shouldn’t Buy A Knockoff NACS To CCS Adapter

No... I went to their shop in Goleta California and saw the machines making parts for it.
  18. Here’s Why You Shouldn’t Buy A Knockoff NACS To CCS Adapter

I would go with a SuperTap from TeslaTap. Costs a little more but the quality is above all the rest. And is from the US instead of China. https://www.teslatapinc.com
  19. Here’s Why You Shouldn’t Buy A Knockoff NACS To CCS Adapter

Not for me... I have purchased others as well but they are ALL made in China. I have been using a TeslaTap for years. IMHO, the product is far superior to any other ones out there and I am sure that their SuperTap is the same. For a few dollars more, I think it is worth the investment.
