Does anyone know when this will be available for the F150? I'm a little blistered that I paid for the optional hardware but cannot use the technology to play euchre while on my long road-trips :)
No. It was intentional. All of the debate/discussion on dongles connectors and compatibility as well as charging limitations in this thread makes hybrids seem far more practical than a 100% EV. Not trying to ruffle feathers - just an honest observation.
Sorry everyone - enjoy your EV's. You're better men/woman than me. I need to get in and go, as far and when I want. I have a F150 Powerboost - love it (it's not perfect, but awesome). I can't ever live with ever having to worry about "charged enough overnight to get to Chatanooga". :)
On my 2021 Lariat PB, have you all noticed that when you start your vehicle and look at the nav screen, there's a compass circle that surrounds the vehicle pointer for about 2-3 seconds, then disappears completely. Has anyone figured out a way to keep that enabled? Sorry - don't have a picture...
I was excited to see this thread as I have the same peeve. Seems like an easy fix! With all of the attention to detail on the UI/UX, this is definitely a shortcoming.
I agree with your post in general. Only having my PB for a week, I can see/sense the engineering that goes into making this whole 'machine' work. This is certainly the MVP (minimum viable product) on the road to full electrification. However, I do still feel that for trucks - you MUST have a...
This! If you're <50, you probably know WAY more than a salesperson or the 'tech specialist' they usually employ to walk you through the tech. I'd bet most in this forum are overqualified for such a job.
I'm curious - while they need to try to make a profitable product, could they be getting into the electric game to be compliant with CAFE standards (at the fleet level) - which are likely going to be more stringent with the zero emissions objectives?
I had to get my moonroof class (the fixed portion) replaced after my tonneau caught some wind and whipped up and over the cab. The dealership 'glass man' felt similiarly in that Ford doesn't make replacing glass, at least the panel sheets, an easy process. He did it, but it was a tortuously...
100% in agreement with this. It all comes down to personal preference. I like 20" because with my build, the wheels and chrome addition fill up the wheel wells and compliment the truck. But the downsides noted in this thread are the trade-off.
You might be able to use FORScan to tweak the timeout. This list is WIP. You will need an ODB-II device and register with the FORScan community. Its an easy process to program the modules, just be sure you follow the instructions - backup the original config, etc.
Here's the link: FORScan -...
That's cool stuff. I had KITT lights on my firebird as a high-schooler (88-89). If I wasn't such an old fogie I think I might do something like this on my 2021 Lariat PB!
