That's what I've been getting, and I live in Downeast Maine. I bought mine in the winter, and was disappointed by the 230-250 I was always getting. I looked around in here, though, and found that my Lightning was more intelligent than my Tesla when it came to those estimates...it actually used...
While I haven't had that problem (refusal of service) I did call one Ford Dealer in Maine who said they couldn't service my Lightning because "we phased out all EV sales and service last year." I guess they thought Ford EVs were going away, maybe... My closest dealership (Bangor, ME) is happy to...
I've been surprised lately that I get over 300 (usually around 320-330). I chalked it up to warmer weather. I bought my Lightning in December in Maine, and in winter usually only see around 240-260 after a full charge.
Good stuff. I think that eventually EVs will just be the norm, and the charging companies will have to start competing on quality. Too often, the chargers are located at the far end of some grocery store parking lot. While they usually have restrooms, they don't always have ready-to-eat food...
This is helpful, thanks. I do know that I have seen at least one Rivian charger on Google Maps, but it is fairly close to my house, and so I've never needed it.
I did the same thing last November. I had the Tesla charger on the back wall of my garage, and would back the Model Y in for charging. When I brought the truck home, I didn't have an adapter, so I would plug in using the kit they gave me at the dealer (and plugged it into the dryer socket in the...
I received this link recently, and thought I would pass it along...

So, I have ABRP and Google Maps. Do I need the plugshare app to find Rivian chargers? BTW, I went to Freeport because I knew they had Tesla Superchargers. On that day, those were all full, and so I tried the RIvian.
I tried. There are a bunch of Rivian chargers in Freeport (they are on the map). I tried plugging the Lightning in when I was there in December, and got "Incompatible" errors both on the charger and on my screen. Maybe they hadn't opened the network yet.
On another note, does anyone know...
Agree. They are handing the world over to China. I had an Uber ride on a recent trip to London in a BYD. If they start selling here, they probably will do very well. It was a pretty impressive ride. The driver wouldn't tell me what the company paid, but he said it cost less than than a Model 3.
I had a lot of bad luck trying to let Google Maps plan my stops. After many discussions in this forum with a lot of very helpful people, I decided to try ABRP. It has a lot of flexibility, and seems able to find some compatible chargers that Maps missed.
UPDATE:
After using ABRP for a while, I...
After reading a lot of good stuff in these forums, I got a dongle and sprang for ABRP Pro. I like it, but I have a couple of observations. One, I would like it even better if it had some method for pulling all my saved destinations from Google Maps. Two, I have noticed that its initial...
I don't know....one-pedal is the default on Teslas. In my model Y I always thought that you got regen when you backed off on the accelerator, and you only got friction if you used the brake pedal. I'm pretty sure that when I did use the brake pedal in the Tesla, it was kicking in the disc brakes.
I always use it. I got used to it when I had a Tesla. I don't know if it actually adds anything in terms of range, because you get regenerative braking with or without it. I was just used to it, so I turned it on when I bought my Lightning.
