Most folks don't realize that many ICE vehicles are in the same boat. I have a 2017 hemi charger. In the winter I don't drive it much, but to keep the battery charged I often pull it out of the garage and let it sit running for 20 minutes or so.
Normally the ramge estimate is around 350, but...
Of course it worked this morning when I don't need it (go figure).
Yes, I accidentally left a Saturday precondition set as this stupid app doesn't have a 1 time use setting for preconditioning. Maddening!
My firmware version is 50.0.9. I haven't tried the departure settings in a few weeks, but will try it tonight
EVIQO's support team was aware of the issue, so should be able to help.
What charging device are you using? I ask because I had this same problem using an EVIQO charger. It didn't work until EVIQO made a change in their firmware.
I bought a 2024 lightning flash 2 weeks ago in Ohio. No state incentives.
I've already forgotten all of the Ford incentives, but including the 7500 Fed tax credit, I got 18K off. This included incentives for Ford"s affiliate companies.
I wanted to lease, but Ford is keeping the 7500 tax...
The good news is that I really don't need pre-conditioning at all. My daily use is under 40 miles. I just wanted to figure this all out just in case one day I need a long road trip.
I was thinking the 120v charger takes less guess work, but I'll have to try it both ways.
Yeah, that's the way I'd have to do it. Kind of a pain if you're wanting to hit 100% and then leave on the exact departure time with 100%.
Another option is to charge on a schedule that stops well short of the departure time, but then plug the 120v charger in about an hour before departure...
I'm a new Lightning owner so have limited knowledge, but have to ask the OP what charger he uses at home? The reason I ask is that I have a 3rd party level 2 charger which will not power the battery pre-conditioning. When I contacted Ford support, they said that most 3rd party chargers won't...
