Maybe try leaving your heater on for about 4 or 5 seconds so that it is recognized as actually drawing 200 watts. Just an idea. I have yet to leave mine on all night. For an afternoon the 5 seconds on and 5 minutes off worked fine.
The Colorado State tax credit is 5000.00 for vehicles under 8500 GVWR. My 2024 lightning Flash is 8550GVWR. Be warned. I had no idea and it’s not something that I would have thought to ask about. The dealer was mum. Not surprised. . I wonder if I had purchased the same truck without the extras...
Excellent experiment. So now we must figure out what that minimum draw is. I still believe that it should not shut off under any normal circumstances. Thanks topher
The toggle on the screen says to keep the outlets power often truck is off . I have the option of setting how far down I am willing to let the battery drain before the vehicle turns off. That is how the on board power system should work . Simple
It shut off after about 6 min AGAIN! This idea of the truck shutting off with no load is not what anybody wants. If I’m at a job site and it shuts off after a few minutes of non use, we would be restarting the truck a hundred times a day. It makes zero sense. If you’re running an electric cooler...
Hey K6CCV, does your 2024 lightning shut down in 6 minuteswith no load. I’d be surprised if it did. I plugged in the light. I plugged in the cooler and yes with no load and they all shut down. I made an appt at the dealer. I’ll let you all know. Thanks for all your help and insights.
like I said, it’s shutting down in approx. 6 min with no load at all. The cooler is small with a minimum load. If it can’t handle that, it’s useless anyway. If you think plugging a light in might give me some info, I’ll try it
