Let's say an update is not going on. (I have updates scheduled for about 1 AM. ) If you just want to disconnect the battery, do you have to first pull the current sensor from the negative battery cable first before you remove the the negative battery cable from the negative battery terminal?

I did the hard reboot (12V battery disconnect). At first it seemed to work when I turned the car back on. However, the next morning it didn't work. By the way, can it be harmful to disconnect the battery without removing the current sensor?

I did the soft reboot and that didn't work. Will try the LVB disconnect hard reboot if I can get home before dark tonight. Thanks for everyone's help.

I assume LVB means "low voltage battery". I'll try to reSync it first and then if that doesn't work, go to the LVB disconnect method. I'll wait till I get home to try though ;).

Thanks for the info evowner. I ordered the racks. Took advantage of the Harbor Freight President's Day Weekend Sale. 15% off. With shipping and tax the racks were only $257.59 . I thought I should order before the price of aluminum (and everything else) went up due to the impending tariffs.

That looks pretty good. That's about what a rack should cost. Doesn't look like it would work with any tonneau though.

I was thinking of even making a rack out of wood. All I need is something to get a canoe about a mile.

Seriously, Why are racks SO expensive? Do you really think these things deserve to be 1/50 the price of the entire truck? Anyone make one themselves?
