Perhaps my issue was more to do with the particular adapter used than the ability of the FCSP to charge teslas. But if anyone else has been able to successfully charge their Tesla from the FCSP, let us know how you did it.
I tested with the J1772 to NACS adapter that came with the lightning. That adapter was designed for the mobile charger cable to charge a tesla from the truck 240volt outlet in the rear.
when shaving that plastic part off and connecting it to the FCSP, CCS cable, it did not work for the Tesla...
I don't believe that last guidance to be true...at least for Tesla's. I shaved that plastic part off and connected the NACS adapter to the CCS plug as you suggested and it only resulted in charge faults against a 2023 Model Y.
So if have personally performed this surgery (as I have), and it...
Honestly I question the need for 80A charging. Take a look at the Ford published figures for charging from 15-100% below. Unless you have an ER battery, there is no difference in charge time from 48 to 80A...and even with the ER battery, the charge times shown are worst case.
My tl;dr take is...
Unless your daily routine is impacted by this, I wouldn't worry so much about it. YMMV is the general consensus on this thread with driving speed, elevation changes, temperature, etc all being a factor. Perhaps switch your view to % so that the mileage number doesn't give you anxiety.

I would imagine minimal range loss (<5%) if you continued to leverage stock wheels/offset/height and just switch to the EV tuned Toyo's. Its the offset poke and ride height that additively impact range.
However, at some point, you have to ask yourself.... Is losing even 15% of range going to...
Interesting. I have heard/read the opposite with regard to short vs long charge cycles. However, it i just more convenient not to plug it in every night as well. I will have to look into battery life vs charging behavior.
Yup! The shocks have adjustable perches for the springs to sit upon, which allow us to select ride height. It is generally a safer and more desirable way to go vs puck/spacers….albeit at a higher installation cost.
I paid a local shop to me, Advanced Trucks, Inc, to procure and install front shocks only. I retained the OEM springs. Paid the MSRP as found on eibachs website.
Well, after following what so many of you have done and experiences reported, I finally pulled the trigger on things. My goals:
1) Reduce the floaty bouncy "70's caddy" feeling when going over bumps at higher speed
2) Reduce the aggressive rake of the truck without risking rear squat when...
For those of you who installed the RC or McGaughey's rear lowing cuff, I'm super interested in this rear lowering solution but would like some guidance on how it works. Conceptually, it looks like it is lowing spring seating perch, thus leaving the spring with the same amount of potential...
Maddening. Even after I charge again, no recognition of location. I have charge history in the app, but ZERO charging locations to choose from to set schedule or charge level.
Nothing in the truck or the app.
