  1. New BlueCruise Version 1.4 - Rollout March 2025

My 2024 does that too and I understand it is running 1.2. Still could be new to you and the version you came from.
  2. What Was Your Father's Old Car?

Being as this is a truck forum, I’ll share his first truck. It was a 1979 Ford F150 he bought new. 300 straight six, regular cab, 3 speed manual with a granny, manual transfer case, steel wheels… Bare bones. No air, no radio… It had those manual vents down in the foot well and wings in the...
  3. Charging process has a mind of its own

I get what you are saying OP. Intuitively, the charge limit seems global, therefore if you start charging manually it would sill obey the 80% limit (or whatever you set). As has been mentioned, it is simply a manual start and stop of charging. Most use it to do a one off 100% charge in...
  4. IOS 26 Beta - Anyone try it yet?

With the state of things right now, I do not disagree with anything you said. That is why I called it low hanging fruit to move Maps into the right direction. It would not make Apple Maps a great planning tool, agreed.
  5. IOS 26 Beta - Anyone try it yet?

Its a very simple solution. You prioritize carplay's realtime data when carpplay is available. If not, attempt to hit the FordPass API. If neither is available, give the stupid error about the "battery data is not accurate".
  6. OTA Updates

On the bright side, maybe you walk away with BC 1.4! I go in for the same recall Friday. I doubt they offer any updates.
  7. IOS 26 Beta - Anyone try it yet?

I appreciate the response, but I think you are misunderstanding me. Remembering the state of charge from a point in time in the past is the issue, not the solution. It doesn't provide a pessimistic solution, it provides an entirely incorrect one. If you only use a few percentage of your...
  8. FordPass v5.21.0 iOS & Android

I wonder if your work has your phone locked down. Another method is you can go into settings\wallpaper and click ’customize’ on the lock screen.
  9. IOS 26 Beta - Anyone try it yet?

Doesn't seem like they have improved the EV experience with Maps, which is disappointing. Some low hanging fruit would be, to pull the current charge status from FordPass for accurate route planning.
  10. How to Get Consumer Reports to fix their testing

Even then, what they are really testing and rating is the EPA’s methodology. Unless Ford (or any of these other manufactures) have made independent claims.
  11. Lightning caught fire in Canada

Just to keep the conversation honest, what was the average age of a BEV and an ICE in 2018? Even today, the average age of a BEV is MUCH lower than that of an ICE. There is also the consideration of when and where a fire is likely for each. Probably most importantly, the NTSB does not even...
  12. How to Get Consumer Reports to fix their testing

It is just dishonest clickbait reporting IMO, which is disappointing for CR. In the first paragraph they state they are comparing EPA estimated range to "real world" 70MPH highway range. We all know that is not how the EPA test works, so what is the point of the article? They do explain this...
  13. New BlueCruise Version 1.4 - Rollout March 2025

For those of you that have received 1.4, I am curious if it has made any improvements with adaptive cruise control as well. Since "ACC" with lane centering is effectively BC without hands free, I was hoping there might be some improvements there as well. For example, I think Ford requires too...
  14. Lightning caught fire in Canada

Ignore the commentary, just providing a video I came across.
  15. FordPass 5.20.0 iOS & Android

My most recent update does not show up either. I feel like this happened with the last Ford Pass update as well, but the next truck update did show up ok.
  16. Confession: Got a little jealous of a Chevy EV...

Who doesn’t drive coast to coast 6 or 7 times a month?
  17. Tonneau cover help range?

Every seemingly non-biased review/test I have seen, that was well implemented, says no. Your mileage may vary (buh-dum-tss).
