  1. Truck accelerated from stop and rear ended car in front.

I think regardless of the cause, we're all aware that what Carla posted legitimately happened and it's an emotional situation for which none of us should be assigning blame (not to suggest anyone has). I'm surprised the forward collision system didn't recognize that there was an object...
  2. How much power does "camping mode" consume?

Yeah, I’m aware of the function, that’s exactly why I suggested it.
  3. How much power does "camping mode" consume?

Just a thought… open the energy usage page; it will show the power used on that “trip” for things like accessories vs. temperature (keeping batteries seem).
  4. Lightbar Tint Options - My Research - Updated

I had been thinking about this, and appreciate the insight!
  5. How do I remove the "grill" on lightning

Currently travelling in Europe, my kids asked the same question and we decided (without asking any Europeans) that yes; it should be called the froot. ?
  6. Ford issues more safety recalls in 6 months than ANY auto company has in a YEAR

As @Heliian said, I'd prefer that they find these problems and issue recalls rather than sleep on them or ignore them. I'm not concerned about the number of recalls, so long as their network of dealers has access to the necessary parts and information to address them.
  7. New FCSP API Python Library (fcsp-api)

I don’t have an FCSP, but just wanted to hat-tip for your work!
  8. Failing Level 2 and DCFC...

I had a very similar issue (minus popping breakers); I couldn’t charge at all. Took it to Ford, they did some diagnostics, updated software, plugged it in and said “working.” It wasn’t. Took it back, they had it for two weeks and eventually replaced the charge port under warranty. The service...
  9. Tried and Liked - Amazon all weather mats

Wow -- I know they're Canadian Made (I'm in Canada), but I wonder if they stopped shipping to the US due to the tariffs?
  10. How to Get Consumer Reports to fix their testing

I hope to never discover the true full 100% range of my battery because in most cases I'm not getting down below 10-15%! lol
  11. Should I avoid a used ‘22?

Fellow Canadian here! I purchased a '22 Lariat which had 18,000km (11250mi) in March of 2024 as a lease-return from a dealership. I let the previous owner pay a chunk of depreciation (to the tune of about $20k), and as a bonus, in British Columbia, used EVs with over 6000km on the odo. are not...
  12. Tried and Liked - Amazon all weather mats

I installed Tuxmats in the last 3 vehicles I’ve owned (including my Lightning), and would never buy another brand they’ve been so good. A bit pricier, but a near perfect fit, lots of accessory clips to keep the edges neat, and really well wearing.
  13. Liking my Lightning... the ultimate compliment.

I often take my elderly mother-in-law to appointments, we bought a little folding step, and the giant handle on the A-pillar really helps for getting in and out. She loves being up high!
  14. Phantom alert tones ... with no alert message?

Definitely wasn't a school zone or playground... I've already got most of the built-in nav alerts muted because I'm typically on CarPlay, but will try and catch it and finally figure out once and for all what it is!
  15. Phantom alert tones ... with no alert message?

Is that like Homer Simpson's "Everything's Okay" alarm which will continue sounding so long as everything is okay? lol There doesn't seem to be any consistency with it - I had already gone into the nav to disable certain warnings and alerts (like speed / red light cameras, etc) but who knows...
  16. Phantom alert tones ... with no alert message?

I know I'm not crazy because it's happened more than a few times ... I'll get a double "ding" alert tone, but there will be nothing on either display to indicate why I heard the tones. It's happened over many software updates, so I don't think it's to do with a specific update. I would say it...
  17. Efficiency

In my mixed driving in Vancouver, Canada, I find I get an average of 29kWh/100km on factory tires. I have a tonneau cover (if that makes any difference?) That's 2.1mi/kWh for my non-metric friends.
  18. Poll 22 Lariat Software updates

I can’t use the karaoke because it requires a network connection (which I don’t pay for) and my truck doesn’t want to connect to my iPhone’s hotspot. Oh well!
