Having a full size spare is exactly one of the reasons I bought the Lightning. Iāve seen Flash trim models without the spare, but no idea they even decided to remove them from the Platinum trim as well! Crazy.
An update for those following along at homeā¦
āFlossingā the gap with a rope didnāt work. As it turns out, there are two lips or ledges back there; the first is easy to knock stuff off as itās about 1/8ā deep, but there is a lower edge, flap, or something (maybe the top of the battery box?)...
I tried the leaf-blower and the exhaust from my shop-vac with the narrow nozzle, but the additional power from a compressor might be good⦠may also need a wand to reach down into the crevice! Thanks for the tip.
Oh yeah, very regional, and doesnāt help that I have several large cedar trees around my driveway! š
Hereās a view of what Iām describingā¦
I donāt think fishing line would work, thatās too slick. Maybe some sisal / hemp rope to LITERALLY floss down there? lol
Where do I find ātruck flossā to get out all the cedar droppings and other crap that has accumulated in that gap between the cab and truck bed?! My regular hose on the ājetā setting doesnāt seem to cut it. Any tips?
Additionally, the āfeltā (or whatever fuzzy fabric it is theyāve adhered in...
Even better than people seeing one, is many... this was our Lightning Parade this morning (I had been the leader, but let them get ahead to snap a pic because it was so funny.)
I love getting the looks when that happens, even from the other Lightning drivers!
Fordās mistake was thinking they could take their existing truck-making knowledge and apply it to a BEV. An auto manufacturer with over 100 years of doing things one way canāt just shift gears (pun intended) and expect everything is the same with a different power train. Tesla had no...
Mine does the same thing⦠(message), and also had the random alarm once in the middle of the night. Youād think with all the technology these trucks are packing it could just tell us what the problem was, or if itās time to replace the battery.
I was doing ātruck thingsā with my truck yesterday and rented a trailer to haul small landscaping equipment. Everything connected properly and the light check was good. I went out for a walk in the evening (the trailer had been left connected) and noticed the tail lights of the trailer would...
I had the same problem on my '22 - I wasn't charging at all on either AC or DC. Dealer thought they had it solved on the first visit (but didn't properly confirm the battery was actually receiving power), and subsequently took a couple of weeks to tear the truck apart and finally diagnosed the...
Mine did that in the middle of the night a week ago; no motion on my driveway camera, nothing on my dash cameras, just the alarm going off at 2am for no apparent reason. At least itās not as frequent as yours.
My ā22 has been a crapshoot for CarPlay - sometimes the CarPlay connection fires up as fast as Iām able to press the OK button to return to sport mode, other times it will pop up 2-3 minutes into my drive, and on some Iāll even have the USB cable connected and my phone is recognized, but it...
