Ya, I've always heard this also, but living in South Florida I've always tinted my sunroofs and roofs (tesla's) on all our vehicles to reduce internal cabin heat. I have always gone with top of the line ceramics, because one time i had a tinter tell me the reason some shatter is they use cheap...
If you look closely in the picture, its just to the edge of the inner lip of the body on the roof on the edges. In the front it is about 6 inches and the rear is much smaller due to the 2 black parts on the roof. Its not perfect, but i can't see it standing next to the truck and even standing...
I have not been on this forum in a while, but figured i would give an update to the bad BO issue i was chasing with the Moonroof. I took the truck to all 3 major Ford dealerships in my town and all 3 had different reasons on why the truck had BO issues and all 3 claimed to fix it and the smell...
Ya, i absolutely love the truck outside the moonroof issues, i personally prefer to drive it over any of our Tesla's. Yes the info on Tesla is nice, but i got over it really quick and Carplay has been enough for me.
Honestly i didn't think of that.. ya, between Sentry Mode and Heat Protection, the consumption is basically on par to my Lariat without all those features draining the battery.
My commute is mostly Toll road 55-65, but in the evening its stop and go congestion, so the truck gets far better...
I have had my truck for a few months now since buying it used and noticed something today while looking at the charger stats. We are currently a family of Tesla Model X, Tesla Model 3, and Ford Lightning ER. I previously had a Model Y on lease before my Lightning purchase.
According to the...
As another Florida Owner, since your looking used, i would just look for a good deal on a 2022, i recently switched from daily driving a Tesla Model Y on lease to the 2022 Ford Lightning ER i bought for 34k w/54k miles 4 months ago. Most of the cheaper used Lightnings are SR, but it was only 2k...
Update, when i woke up for work, the faults were all gone. I had no issues driving my 40 mile trip to work. Im going to place an order for the little box, sucks but mistakes happen and ill gladly pay for just that over something more expensive in the truck.
I will say, going back to the video...
Man,
That sucks, hopefully that is the only thing that is damaged if that is the case.
I wish i had someone in Florida to help me clear the codes...
Im the complete opposite, i had Windows for many years, then for work they issued me a macbook pro and when my windows laptop i had from...
How did i do that? did it happen when plugged into the wrong plug? All the errors occurred when i plugged it into the 2nd plug, the black plug and connected the battery back to the truck. Just FYI i was expecting no errors, because i have Tony's adapter inline with the USB cable.
I have been...
I just disconnected the comma harness and plugged everything back to stock. Reconnected the battery and I'm not getting a million errors anymore, but I'm getting service high voltage fault and pull over soon warning. I am able to put the truck in gear and drive it now, but the error is still...
I disconnected the negative on the battery every time i have unplugged those wires. It was when i connected the battery back to the truck and tried to boot it that it had all the errors.
Ya,
I wish i would have caught that, i watched it up to that step and then stopped, figured i was done.. weirdly it drove just fine with it plugged into the grey plug, just the comma didn't work.
Now i might be in a pickle. I just went and switched it to the 2nd plug, the black plug and now...
I am very confused, maybe this is the reason for my errors. I followed your video, in the video you mentioned the first plug. the grey one as being the correct plug. So that is the plug mine is plugged into.
I’ve been sitting on the comma trying to find time to install it, but got around to installing it today and I’m getting stuck on unavailable.
Apologizes, i thought the pictures attached.
Additional Notes: I have tried it under OpenPilot and BluePilot and get the same error.
Nice video, I am curious if you are using the same trickery as the guy in space coast florida that runs a lawn care company. I met him at an EV event where he showed off his solar setup. He has a charger connected to his truck via a 2nd charge port on the rear bumper with the power coming from...
This was actually something i read more than once on the online forums, many installers mentioned it happens mostly if you leave the wire loose on re-install so the constant tugging of the wire when you hit bumps breaks the connector. Many recommended i curl the plug up to the outer edge of the...
On the metra adapters, the rear's didn't have the hole, so i just drilled one into the plastic adapter and fed the wires through and put some hot glue in the hole to plug it.
I liked it, was very cheap and highly recommended online in the audio forums. Its not as thick as the expensive stuff, but honestly our doors are so tightly that some areas i had to remove the sound deadening material due to it preventing the door to full snap back properly, thus why there are a...
