I tried the Laminx pre cut for the front. At $90 it felt worth trying. Itās ok. If you have experience you could probably make it look good. I donāt and I find it barely acceptable. The straight line under the hood was easy, the side lights were tough and I think the laminx is cut too small. If...

These are what I call the bump stops and where it hits the hood. I did have to break out a large adjustable wrench to get them moving. I used a dab of grease on top to determine contact.
I followed this for...
Thank you, I think that was it, the bump stops seemed like they were almost all the way up! Brought them down so they just made contact and sprayed some lube in the latch mechanism. It still has the āpopā of a hood but no groan/creak as it releases or latches.
It messed with the light bar...
Is it normal for the frunk to make really loud pops and snaps when it opens? I know itās different, but compared to every rear power lift gate Iāve ever used, itās really loud. It reminds me of when I overload the back of the van and itās under a bind when it releases.
Edit: ā22 Lariat ER, new...
Good to know, Iāll be putting it on sand later this summer.
A little hijack, what tire pressures are you guys airing down to? Iām on 20ā Michelins.
I used the harness clip that is just higher than it(tight, but doable), so zip tie through harness clip around the big end. Then zip tie around the u-shaped Megaohm harness as backup.
Newer Michelin tires, mud flaps, front window tint, husky liners, illuminated front badge, tri-fold bed cover, bed rug, and 3D printed rear hvac extensions. Basically anything I would have added, except the rotary shifter, but Iām working on that.
I made it happen! I picked up a ā22 Star White Lariat ER with 54k miles yesterday. Without tax, I was OTD for $41,139. I wanted to find one sub $40k, but this was a color I wanted and it had some nice aftermarket upgrades. Smooth drive 5 hours back home following ABRP.
Iāll keep the Ridgeline theme going. Iāve had a first gen Ridgeline for about 4 years, but Iām ready to move on. One thing I love is the trunk in the bed, so the lightning frunk is a big plus for me. I wonāt miss the 15mpg I get in my mostly city driving. Iām currently in the market for a used...
