For several decades in a service truck / SUV, I'd find just the right size trash can and have it behind the passenger seat. I simple reach from the drivers seat did the trick even while driving, and I got in the habbit of emptying it each fuel stop as it was on the same side as the filler...
Our 25 Lariot Trim does the same annoying thing, delays including releasing of the tailgate and start-up. Samsung S24 Ultra in use here. The wife's iPhone 16 ProMax does same thing.
We have 2 EVs in our garage, and sleep just fine. A quick search shows EVs less likely to catch fire than ICE. Charging at night in a garage could potentially be as much or more risk than a rouge thermal runaway on the main battery.
The search pointed out that after any collision damage it...
New to EVs. Have the Lightning and a Tesla 3.
Also notice your call sign. W8VFR here :)
Always glad to hear more charging network available.
So you have photos of the ham rig in your Lightning?
Very nice!
How about an adaptor that terminates in a ball mount, such as use by Garmin and other Qi wireless chargers?
Thanks for the detail on the trim piece.

I needed access behind the drivers side rear seat for a ham radio install.
Once you raise the bottom seat up, the top part of the seat moves away from the rear cab. Because of this movement, you can then see the latch located about 10 inches from...
Assuming you are asking about efficiency, that would depend how (where) Ford is extracting the energy to provide the DC power VS the AC that comes from the inverter. My guess would be the 12v dc is from the AGM lead acid battery. If so, I'd suggest using the inverter.
Our lightning is a Lariot Trim, and the Model 3 is well, a model 3 :-) it does have the AWD Dual Motor option.
I agree that Ford made it as much as possible a typical F150. We went with the Lariot Trim as we have an F350 with same Trim and really liked that power rear center window. It's great...
Brand new to EV vehicles. We have a 2025 refreshed model 3, and the entire experience in the Tesla is a notch above the 2025 F150 L Ford. Attention to detail, and layout are most noticeable.
Two very different types of vehicle with different approaches to customer interface. Both are quite...
