I agree with much of what you say. However, I recently took a train from DC to Indianapolis and back. No agony at all, a verpleasant experience, for which I happily paid three times the price of flying to avoid that agony.
Find that 2 x 25 footers serves me better than one 50 footer. I like the cords that indicate they are powered at the socket end. McMaster-Carr, Uline and Granger are good resources. You ight also consider cord reals.
The correct part number for the Lighting is: RL3Z-60286A72-AB. This photo shows the stock (delivered) access panel for a 2025 (not sure whether it is a build one or build two) with the stock panel removed and the cubby with the part number listed above installed.
