I must say I am disappointed but I get it. I can't say as of now if this is the best decision moving forward for Ford. They have been chasing the shiny objects of late and while an EREV does make the most sense, that's what the Lightning should've been to begin with. Ford has done well to cement...
I'd continue to go for the lightning. I got away from a gas vehicle to try electric for reasons including not having to mess with oil changes, gas stations etc. I see no real benefit of EREV other than range.
If Ford does indeed introduce a GEN2 lightning and they can get 350 miles hwy and 400...
I have also noticed this. It will ask me to return and select yes. It'll stay in sport for about 10 seconds, at least the gauges seem to indicate and then it the gauges change to normal. Looking forward to an update to fix this.
This is not an answer nor confirmation of anything around cancellation. It's well known that Ford will prioritize ICE and Hybrid in the near term to get back to production capacity.
Question is will we see actual comms from Ford killing the next gen lightning. Time will tell.
Interesting information that you have shared. How did you come up with that? I figured that 440kw is equal to 590 hp and assume that's the 4 major segments. But the regen part, can the truck really regen at 220kw?
Looks good, sir! I was also slipping on the way out. The new boards appear to tuck up closer to the cab by a bit so now when I get out my foot lands right on them. I'll have to get used to that. My 18 has power boards so I'm acclimated to their height going in and out.
I was looking at buying my Lariat but the dealer was unable to confirm eligibility of the tax credit for some reason as well. They mentioned Ford was aware and working on something but it didn't matter anyway since I went for the lease.
In my experience with gas F150's the stock shocks didn't last pass 50k and might have been bad before then. If this were a gas truck I could toss plenty of recommendations but things seem to be more limited with the Lightning? I know the Eibachs have been tested for this platform and it seems...
I had no issues with things lining up but the top bolt for the front bracket on the driver side did come loose behind the sheet metal and tried to spin around on me. I had to hold and start the nut and I was able to grab the threads and tighten with a ratcheting wrench.
I got them off of eBay. There's a shop in Houston that sells takes off from folks that get power boards. The following are an example from the same shop I got them from. I was unable to find anything quickly on the forums I'm with...
