  1. Qmerit install - $338 for "Permitting"

I declined the bid, and the installer emailed me and asked why. I told him the "permit fee" seemed excessive. He replied: "You're right Lance. I agree with you. But it's actually much cheaper than CA where my other office is. The thing is that is not only the permit fee. It's everything...
  2. Qmerit install - $338 for "Permitting"

$338 for "Permitting" Doesn't that seem excessive?
  3. House back up with 50amp RV outlet

I didn't ask if it was frowned upon, I'm not dumb enough to put the male end in my mouth while it's hot, I asked if it would work with the Lightning.
  4. House back up with 50amp RV outlet

So my Lightning charger plugs into a 50 amp 4 prong RV outlet in my garage. Couldn't I install a breaker interlock for the houses main breaker, and make a double ended male cable to go from the 30 amp end from the Lightning bed to the 50amp RV outlet in my garage, and backfeed my house that way...
  5. More Lightning drag racing

Raced my brother in law in his 2024 Raptor R on Saturday. I had 5 people in my truck and a mountain bike in the back. Smoked him pretty good. His comment was "holy $hit that thing gets some serious torque steer!" LOL
  6. Lightning as an actual truck from an ex Raptor owner

lol the same could be said for a Lightning… dumb argument. Not even sure what your point is here.
  7. Lightning as an actual truck from an ex Raptor owner

My 2023 Gen 3 with 37 Package on KO3’s got about 13.5mpg. 14.5 with the OEM KO2 37’s. The KO3’s are a tad larger and heavier.
  8. Disabling F-150 Lightning's Beeps, Dings, Chimes, Honks, Bings, Bongs, and Dongs

I have your Megaohm for my reverse, works great. I did unplug my brand new 2025 Lariat frunk speaker and have had zero issues though? No errors.
  9. Lightning as an actual truck from an ex Raptor owner

Pretty much same. I miss the Raptor in some ways, but very happy with the Lightning. It's a great truck so far. Even my MTB buddies who make fun of the Lightning are jealous of the frunk. LOL
  10. Lightning as an actual truck from an ex Raptor owner

Sure you can make one *look* like a Raptor, but it'll never perform like one offroad. Washboard dirt roads are one thing, actual hard core offroad is a whole different animal. Take it from a guy with 9 Baja 1000 class wins.
  11. Lightning as an actual truck from an ex Raptor owner

So I've only had this truck for a couple of weeks now, and have about 1,700 miles on it. I traded in a 2023 Raptor (37 package) and I had a Gen 2 Raptor before that, and I had a Gen 1 Raptor before that. I'm an avid mountain biker and ride 5 or 6 days a week, and it always involves driving off...
  12. Ford EVSE finally installed

This is what I just received a couple of days ago.
  13. First road trip - Wind makes a BIG difference!

80 is 81 because the speedometer is wrong. Wasn’t worried about it “working”.
  14. First road trip - Wind makes a BIG difference!

Yeah, that's why it surprised me so much!
  15. New BlueCruise Version 1.4 - Rollout IPMA-24.204.10.9

Did a 600 mile road trip with BC the whole way this weekend. Lane changing worked amazing! The wind was INSANE, and BC kept her straight as an arrow. It even worked perfectly in a severe monsoon rain storm that passed through.
  16. First road trip - Wind makes a BIG difference!

For sure. It doesn't help I had four bikes on the back and lift the front 2" to make it even more of a brick. LOL
  17. First road trip - Wind makes a BIG difference!

So just got back from a 600 mile round trip road trip from Southern UT up to Park City and back in my brand new 2025 Lariat. Right before the trip, I installed 2" Rough Country leveling pucks because I couldn't handle the silly looking rake. For this trip, I was loaded up with 4 adults, 4...
  18. Philly Area to Fort Collins Colorado Roundtrip

So was your average speed on the Interstates 70mph the whole time? What nav did you use to plan your trip(s)? Did you use the truck's nav to pre condition before arriving at a charger each time, or nah? In Utah the speed limit is typically 80mph, so you'll get run over by semis doing 70.
