  1. Tailgate assist opens but only closes sometimes.

I have had it refuse to move at all after hitting the fob and even when I gave it the assist. Only happened a couple of times in the 2 months I've had the truck. Unfortunately, one of them was when I was showing it to my ev skeptical father for the first time. :curse: The next time I drove it...
  2. Old School Lightning Badge

Wow, I had no idea that Ford had any association with the Lightning before the 90's iteration.
  3. Small adjustment to increase lightning sales: cool and heat the frunk

These days it's WAAAY easier to just pop out one of those little bluetooth portable speakers for that. I got one for about $100 to put in my box truck. It's significantly less than replacing my cab speakers and actually louder/better sound quality anyway.
  4. Small adjustment to increase lightning sales: cool and heat the frunk

Yeah, I have a "two" car garage, but they'd have to be smaller cars. I have room on the sides for the Lightning, but as has been noted in other threads, only about an inch or 2 clearance front to back. I'd LOVE a 3 car.
  5. Small adjustment to increase lightning sales: cool and heat the frunk

Wow, able to park IN your garage. I have envy. ;)
  6. 80A Charging Cable Under Garage Door

You know, I had never truly appreciated the skill of the concrete guys that built my house until I saw this remark!
  7. Questions from new Lightning owner

Now that I actually know what that is, I can kind of see how they intended it to be a motor. I was thinking they were both battery related.
  8. Telo vs F150 Lightning size comparison

I hope these guys are successful. My father just got a Tacoma and I feel like this could have done the same thing. Of course, he's a bit of a luddite, so an EV for him probably wouldn't be so good.
  9. 80A Charging Cable Under Garage Door

Yes, I think this is probably the best way to go. Now if I can only get them to sell in the US again.
  10. 80A Charging Cable Under Garage Door

I see that you're using the FCSP. I don't know what the other person was using. I'm planning on the Grizzl-E Ultimate 80 if my electrician says I've got the room.
  11. 80A Charging Cable Under Garage Door

Yes, this was the solution that MRLOGANROSS had suggested earlier. Seems like a good way to go, except UNDOR is out of Canada and isn't shipping to the US right now due to tariffs. I also saw somewhere (either here or a reddit that someone recommended) that their cable was too fat to fit it.
  12. 80A Charging Cable Under Garage Door

Yes, this was definitely one of my concerns. And living in FL, I would also include snakes.
  13. 80A Charging Cable Under Garage Door

Haha! My wife looked at the install on the brick and was just like, ummmmm.....No!
  14. 80A Charging Cable Under Garage Door

I had searched and seen a few different options that people were doing, but no one had specifically addressed an 80A. I was hoping it wouldn't matter, to be honest. The solution you suggested seemed like a good idea. Apparently, thanks to current economic policies, they are no longer shipping to...
  15. 80A Charging Cable Under Garage Door

That's interesting that the included mobile charger cord was getting kicked back by your garage door. Mine tolerates it just fine. I'm guessing that might be a "downforce" adjustment on the garage door opener. I haven't seen if one of my neighbors with a Tesla charger is able to run one of their...
  16. 80A Charging Cable Under Garage Door

'23 Lariat ER I've done some searching here already, but didn't really find any answer to this specific question. I'm considering getting the Grizzl-E Ultimate 80A EVSE, provided my electrician confirms we have the "electrical" room to install one. Otherwise, it'll have to be a 48A EVSE. I'm...
  17. Does anyone know how to completely remove the center console rear cup holders and associated bulk?

I saw a thread here recently where someone was discussing how they have camped in their truck and showed pics of their setup. I'd do a search on that and check it out. I don't remember any mention of having to mess with the console.
  18. Preparing for road trip

I took that to mean how much stuff do you have packed in it? Such as, you came back from a tour of the Bourbon Trail and bought 60 cases of EH Taylor, Elijah Craig, and Blanton’s. Now that truck is HEAVY. 😉
  19. SUCCESS! ROTARY DIAL installation with 12" screen - without removing upper trim

I'm the same in that I'm perfectly fine using the shifter. Using a rotary dial seems alien to me. Of course, this is the first vehicle I've owned that didn't need a key to start! I do like the idea of the fold down workstation. However, the first test drive I did of a used one, the...
  20. 9,000+ trip report - Summer of 2025 EV Great Adventure.

That is one amazing trip you guys did! My uncle and grandfather took me on a weekend canoe trip down the Buffalo river in TN when I was 10. When I retired from the Navy, my dad and I took our motorcycles from Florida to the Tail of the Dragon (TN/GA) and were gone for a week. Those were both...
