When solid-state batteries eventually arrive, most vehicle makers will simply add them to the production line. The Big Three?? They'll be starting BEV's from scratch, again!
Such awesome business planning!
I appreciate the info.
However, I'd like to get @Ford Motor Company, Brian not AI's, feedback before spending $70 on a OBD cable and installing Russian software on my computer.
Shortly after I purchased my Lightning, a 2025 Flash Job 2, I disabled the WAL feature. Now that I want to enable it the toggle is missing from the menu. I've searched this forum and couldn't find a thread about this.
Has anyone else had this happen, or have an idea of what has happened?
In the last set of questions I wasn't able to select " Makes high quality, durable products that last" due to having the truck only seven months so far. My previous Fords definitely fit the bill, but that was twelve years ago. I hope my Lightning lives up to my previous experience with Ford...
BC is pointless for me, even if it was free. I'm an hours drive from the closest road it'll work on, I-10. At best I'd use it once a year for at most 80% of the journey. Now if there was an option to pay $1,000 to buy and have professionally installed a comma AI? I would consider paying a...
I just went through this. As some might find it hard to imagine, Ford has specific licensed software for cutting our truck keys. I found a locksmith in Mary Esther FL, A to Z Locksmith, that has the software license. They will cut one key for $35 or two keys for $50. I ordered my blanks from...
If there's an interlock kit available for your main breaker panel, it would probably be easier and offer a lot more options. Obviously you would want a licensed electrician to do the work.
For example only:
Interlock kit $20 +/-
A compliant breaker for the generator/Lightning feed to the main...
That's as shady as them putting a warning on the battery "Store in dry location at 65-80° F". Do they expect the truck to drive around exclusively in an airconditioned warehouse?
I'm sorry for the experience you are having and thank you for the warning.
I've noticed my trucks SOC bounce around with the temperature changes, but not by that much. Out of curiosity, are the charge settings the same in the Ford app and SYNC?
Wow! tomorrow we'll have a motorcycle powered by "Donut".
My Magic 8 ball say's next week we'll have a car powered by "Croissant" and tractor-trailers powered by "Bagel". LOL!
Until I can actually buy one and ride it, it's nothing more than vaporware.
