Yeah that's the paradox I don't get. They see only problems with full size pickups because they are so large but the alternative MB sprinter for example at 7,5m long is totally fine.

That's pure European safety council propaganda. They got scared by the EU-US mutual recognition car safety standards (finally!)and have been generating this stuff ever since.

They should really release the truck in EU (no, Norway and Switzerland does not count). With electric drivetrain the taxes are cut close to 0% and you don't have to register one as a truck with 80km/h limit. Perfect family vehicle as 5 seater with plenty of space for everything you need to bring...

I wonder if that requires some reprogramming to the car... Just thinking of importing one into Finland and would be convenient to be able to use my 11kwh charger I use for my tesla.
