  1. Thanks, Ford, for 7.2 kW Pro Power Onboard PPO

I have a 2025 Lariat with the 9.6 PPO option, but it seems the 240v plug in the bed is only 30 amps, so that’s 7200 watts. I assume that means I can still get another 10 amps from each of the two 120v outlets in the bed? Or does the other 2400 watts need to come from inside the truck cabin? I am...
  2. Good Mobile EVSE option

Check out the Grizzl-e mobile 40A charger. I got one and love it and it came with a bunch of 240v adapters, a 120v adapter and a nice case to keep it all tidy in the frunk. It was rated highly on ā€œState of Chargeā€. And if you live in Canada, you can get it for free and they will pay you to use...
  3. Calm screen making me.. Not calm

LOL, fair enough - just walked out to the truck, though, and checked my SYNC version - it’s 25211_PRODUCT REVISION: 1966 Yikes!
  4. Calm screen making me.. Not calm

Thankfully haven’t had this issue in my 25 Lariat but I do like the calm screen from time to time - especially at night on dark roads. but all this talk of OTA has me wondering - I haven’t received one yet since I bought the truck in Oct as far as I can see - should I have ?
  5. Charging in Ice Storm

I’m sure there are many options better than my homemade solution but it’s always satisfying to solve a problem with something that you already have lying around, right?
  6. Charging in Ice Storm

Well, another ice storm rolled through Southern Ontario so I thought about how to keep the ice out of the charging port. My old carpet floor mats were lying in the garage after I upgraded to TuxMats (really happy with those by the way), so with a spare paving stone to keep it in place I turned...
  7. Ford App 6.7.0 iOS & Android

Anyone see anything new/improved in the new version. I just received and installed in on iOS . no visual changes and Ford lists only bug fixes/enhancements, but glad to see software still being worked on!
  8. Where to buy spare tire and wheel

doing some quick research, my 275/60R20 all-seasons and my 265/70R18 winter tires are about 1.17% different overall diameter. (32.99ā€ vs 32.61ā€)Is that close enough that I can use the same size spare for summer and winter without creating an imbalance that will potentially harm the motor?
  9. Super smooth and QUIET tires: Hankook iON HT All Season Truck & SUV Tire in 275/60R20

Good to know, thanks for the info. Low rolling resistance too? Curious if anyone knows - is low noise generally also consistent with low rolling resistance? Seems logical, anyway, to some extent. Another plug for Hankook tires: I recently, on recommendation from my local tire shop, purchased...
  10. New Ford App in Carplay

It does seem crazy, not to mention unsafe, that Ford forces you to your phone while driving for this functionality instead of allowing the app on the big screen in the truck to do it!
  11. Upgrading F-150 Lightning Battery Pack [VIDEO]

Great video, Alex, really interesting to see and encouraging that our truck’s were designed for simple servicing of battery packs. I’ve only had my ā€˜25 for two months so, touch wood, I won’t need to test out my local deal any time soon but I am feeling better about when I reach the end of my...
  12. Automakers Need to Make EVs Americans Want

agreed and my experience is the same - what is really needed is an information campaign to Americans (and Canadians) to counteract the FUD out there. For 90% of people who can charge at home, an EV is actually the ideal vehicle when you look at use case and TCO.
  13. Ford app 6.4.0 & 6.4.1 update iOS & Android

Do some not have the ability to change the A/C charge rate? I’ve had that functionality from day one when I got my 25 Lariat in November. I just installed 6.4 on iOS this morning and not seeing any new functionality and nothing seems to be taken away either. I’m ok with some glitches and bugs...
  14. 74% of Ford F-150 Lightning buyers have come from other brands

New owner and my first post. Want to start off by saying thanks to all of you that have posted so much great information. Im also in the 74% camp. Have driven Honda Pilots for the last 15 years. I tend to buy new and drive-til-they-die. The last one is still running and near half a million km...
