My related issue is that once in awhile the truck will chime continuously when I shut it off and open the door with no indication of whatâs wrong. Cycling power seems to clear the issue.
The F150 Lightning is not a software defined vehicle like Teslas and new generation Rivians. Itâs a bunch of different modules with their own controllers, some provided by third party suppliers. That makes feature updates more difficult because youâre dealing with changing hardware sources...
Rather than swapping out shifters for the folding version, I would consider doing the rotary knob conversion instead. If youâre actually planning on using the work surface a lot, it will save you the hassle of eventually getting a powertrain fault notice and having to replace the shifter again.
Agree, the Lightning seems to get the highest 10 min boost charge when plugging in around 30%. Itâs not a Tesla, its charge behavior is pretty much designed to be 180 degrees from Tesla. Just plug it in and charge to 80%. No games or guessing or spreadsheets.
I deleted my EVGo account and app and changed my credit card because I got a mystery charge 1000 miles away and have only used EVGo twice in my 5 years of EV ownership. Apparently they do not have good internal security.
You certainly donât need to follow any PM if you donât want to. The PM list for a Lightning is vanishingly small compared to a standard F150. You donât have to change your oil on your ICE vehicle either if youâre planning to get rid of it with less than 30k miles or you can charge your EV to...
Looks like itâs probably NL3Z10B759H for the large battery. Dealer price seems to be around $31k new. You can find it in the Ford parts catalog. Individual modules while pain seems to be the way to go.
Have you tried rebooting the center display? My old Tesla used to lock far more often than the Lightning.
REBOOTING THE CENTER DISPLAY
You can reboot the center display using the controls on the steering wheel.
1. Simultaneously press and hold the seek forward and volume down button for 10...
I have taken a $20 electric kettle with me on my last camping trip for hot water for my French press and freeze dried meals rather than my Jetboil camping stove but I have yet to pack in my espresso machine and grinder.
Local dealer and tire shops still seem to be recommending 3000 or 5000 mile tire rotation, but, from what I can see, the manual suggested 10,000 miles seems fine. As long as your alignment is okay and youâre not using highway on-ramps as skid pads.
Except we canât get camera sideview mirrors in the US and recessed door handles are probably not happening either, picture #2 looks like a pretty good guess. If not, itâs not to late for Ford to tweak the body panels. đ
In this case they are hyping future product so you wonât buy an R2 or other EV before their vehicle comes to market. Tesla is very strict about the Osborne effect and never talks about new models that replace old ones prior to being on sale or imminent within a few weeks.
This is a completely different situation than your original post. If your gauge goes from half full to empty in a few minutes, youâve either sprung a leak in your fuel tank or had a battery module go bad. Thatâs not going to be solved by a fill up.
As a broke engineering grad student I used to use the real guess o meter on my 83 Ford Escort until one day I pushed it too far and had to rely on the kindness of strangers to get to and from a gas station in the middle of nowhere on a Sunday evening and I too rarely go below a quarter âtankâ on...
Thereâs a 100 mile diameter hole in Northwest Wisconsin with only level 2 chargers available and no plans to install L3. The only 50kw charger was decommissioned after it broke and no parts were available to fix it. This is prime recreational land including one of the biggest Nordic skiing...
Do you have plug and charge activated? If so, Tesla, Ionna, and EAâs should work without your phone or an app. I have it typically turned off because I use Tesla and EA membership plans but in a pinch use plug and charge.
The general consensus is you have three options, A2Z, Lectron, or the Ford branded Lectron adapters. Many of the other third party options have safety issues that could damage you or your vehicle.
