Look for a '22 platinum over a '23. Same truck but the '23 has fewer features but costs more. The '25 has a fresher warranty and the heat pump, but a lot of people prefer the non-heatpump anyway. Faster cabin heat for a marginal loss in range.

As far as I can tell, peaking the PCB in the user manual, it's the MCU, a SPI flash chip, and likely a USB/UART chip or the like

Blue cruise set at 65mph will give you great range and the removes most of the urge to "just get done driving" that makes you want to drive fast.
$50 is kind of ridiculous though, especially because ford hasn't add more roads in years. Not sure if I'll pay for it once the free trial ends.
