Yup getting GWM update issue also...so i went through the process waited over 10 min came back turned ignition on it would not show on sync as update successful anyway long story short got the same massage could not communicate with VCM now GWM is still in orange did self test and it cleared...

On more question while im doing usb update on APIM or any other one that takes long can i shut the truck off but leave ignition on plugged to power supply? Thanks Nevermind it didn't take that long until restart for a minute i thought it will take forever now im just going to leave for at least...

I called service to schedule an appointment for next Wednesday since apparently i have a recall on driveshaft cover or something like that and I asked the guy if they can push manual sync update. He was surprised i didn't get any OTAs also said that maybe my truck doesn't qualify for any OTAs ...

Where did you find updated frimware ? I thought someone said its not possible to manually update over usb at this point

If it really is 20301 than its definitely outdated even if it says up to date my buddy recently got an update for 21146 revision 145

Looks like yours is 20301 but to confirm you can check settings in your radio unit I won't have access to mine until tomorrow night so can't point you exactly right direction but its there in settings...?maybe settings-vehicle- about sync?

I could be wrong here so someone can correct me but i think 21136 revision 134 is the most recent. Seeing that I'm not the only one having this problem Im even more hesitant to stop by the dealership since they have no idea how to fix this heck I've only been there twice since purchase

My build date is 12/20 sync version still at 20312 never got a message about any update and on ford website with vin search it says up to date. Anyone successful downloaded sync 21136 and flashed it through usb drive?

Okay so if anyone is interested I've measured outside diameter on the tailpipe and at least on mine is 3.14 in . Will have to look for a tip that has 3.25 inner diameter
