  1. Lightning sales down 42 percent in May

It will do fine. I have mine for 3 years. I have seen both sides of the coin. I am not worried about. Also, I am looking at the other competitors, are they doing better, worse or the same. That Big Beautiful Abomination Bill has spooked a lot of folks. Most of us love those Tax Credits to help...
  2. Incredible efficiency when it’s all downhill…

These the kind of numbers I get also coming down from the Blue Ridge Mountains, BRP, to my home in the Greenville SC area. Going uphill is a different situation. I usually had my wife on the edge of her seat looking the screen wondering if we had enough of a charge to come home. She was...
  3. Keeping stuff dry in the truck bed

I have the Retrax system also on my Lightning. It is the composite one. The roll up cover will leak some. I installed it myself. The Retrax system allows me to use the T rail system to mount racks that use T bolts for attachment. The rollup cover will allow water to come thru but it is minimal...
  4. Lightning Charged to 345 miles and 100%.

This is getting interesting. This morning I charged the Lightning to 100% to see what was going to be the range. Outside temp was 63deg and at full scale I saw over 350 miles range. 356 miles to be correct. The Lightning is 3 years old. Either Ford released some of the reserved battery or...
  5. FordPass App 5.18.0 for Android & iOS has landed

Just got this update last night. This morning I walked away from my truck and heard the walk away sound for the first time.
  6. CCS1 Adapter to NACS - Canada Specific - COME ON FORD :(

Why worry, A2Z has you covered. Contact this Canadian Company to get your adaptor. I have 2 of their adaptors. I understand you want the one from Ford, as promised, but at this point, as you know, things are kinda ugly south of the border, especially when you dealing with Tesla provided...
  7. ⚡Fast. Safe. Reliable. Meet the Evgoer J1772 50A Home Charger!

Good job pointing it out. Even in this forum folks will fall for that. Also, they may advertise 48amps until you find that the unit may or are seated to 40amps to preserve their dependability. Usually you find about those things after you purchase the unit and made the installation.
  8. Lightning Charged to 345 miles and 100%.

I drove the truck this afternoon. It went from 343 to 323. Those were actual 20 miles of driving and it was indicating 98% capacity of the HVB. I am trying to make some sense of it without creating some theories. I am an educated person with 2 undergraduate degrees. I work on aircraft with A&P...
  9. Lightning Charged to 345 miles and 100%.

When other folks seeing the same numbers on similar weather conditions, then Ford has done something. It is a good thing but what it is, we don’t know. Is it an OTA update, releasing reserved battery capacity that was reserved for the truck or something else. If the Administrator is reading our...
  10. Lightning Charged to 345 miles and 100%.

Will do. I want to see also what high temps will do to the charging curve.
  11. Lightning Charged to 345 miles and 100%.

Today was the day to try again to duplicate the increased range at 100% while charging at home. If you remember, I was the one who posted that my 3 year old Lightning charged to 345 miles of range at 72deg outside temp. Today I had almost identical temps, 68deg, and the charge reached 342 miles.
  12. Will the tariffs affect prices currently on lots?

I agree with your last sentence of your post. Manufacturers, retailers and other businesses will spread their prices across the board. “Everything will go up”. Most consumers, “Buyers”, won’t notice the difference. 3% here, 4% there to offset the 25% over there. As I noticed on my last trip to...
  13. Purchased the A2Z j1772 ext cord

It will do just fine for L2 charging. I have one that is 50 feet long to use when I am camping at 50 amp outlets.
  14. FordPass app getting better…

Correct. When you change your tires, you will get the same message.
  15. Should have just bought one... but here we are.

    Yes it is.!!
  16. 100K combined miles in my Lightning & Mach E

Don’t sweat the first adaptor stuff. Iam the only one in my neighborhood. I give my fuel points to my neighbors. They totally appreciate it. The questions are many. Since they use my fuel points, they understand. My MME and my Lightning are saving me a lot of money. My average cost for both...
  17. V4 Tesla stations open to Ford EVs?

Thanks. That additional information is helpful. I always come prepared with two adaptors. I use the Tesla app when I deal with Tesla Charging Stations. You may had problems initially because the installed stations are fairly new.
  18. V4 Tesla stations open to Ford EVs?

Thanks. I guess I have to try them the next time traveling I65 to Louisiana.
  19. V4 Tesla stations open to Ford EVs?

I was checking my Tesla app for the newly installed V4 325KW chargers at Bucee’s at Auburn AL. In the app it is indicated that the chargers are available but no mention if you required to use an adaptor or an adaptor is required. It is conveniently located on my frequent travels to Louisiana...
  20. BlueCruise No Longer Showing Lane Change Visual?

No, I don’t have it on my Lightning. I haves Mach E with the BC 1.4 update. Both vehicle react differently with the 1.4 BC updates. Different vehicles with different reactions. I found that out as soon as my Lightning got the 1.4 update. Drove my Lightning and then switched to my Mach E. BC...
