It felt like the Wild West. Especially the 220 mile DC gap across the Hopi and Navajo reservations. That was an overnight at the RV park special. Didn’t see a single electric car that whole stretch.
Just got back from a long road trip from SW WA to Phoenix to partake in some spring training games. Went south on 5 through OR and CA, then back home through UT, ID and OR.
The truck did awesome, absolutely flawless. Most of the driving was at 70 mph, even when posted speeds were 65-80. Did...
Haven’t tried that, but my solution is to use a battery box (aka solar generator, aka Jackey etc) in between my cooler and the pro power. I’ve just got a small 256 Wh unit that does well. It can keep the cooler running all night (as long as it’s not too hot out) and can recharge in 2-3 hours...
Just as a heads up for your record keeping, our rates went up as of 3/1 to 0.0879. First increase since 2011 so we can’t complain too much. Across the river they are up 40% in the last 2-3 years.
Got 6.4.0 today. 3rd update in 2 weeks. Only 4 months behind the curve now.
Still don’t have the one that messed up the GOM accuracy or put the red line on the 0% SOC.
SR Pro with DIY ACC - a must for long road trips.
I’m starting a 3,000 mile trip from Portland OR, down 5 to LA, over to Phoenix for some Soring training and the back via Moab and up through Salt Lake City and Boise.
Willing to bet my A2Z adapter shows up 6-7 hours after I leave :(
My eGolf had “adaptive creep”. It was great. As I came to a stop it would just sit there and not move. If I then taped the accelerator it would activate creep. So at a stop light you could take your foot off both petals and when in stop and go you would have creep.
I use one pedal on the...
I ordered the A2Z - you’ll want one for that trip. Yiu can use the code NACS2024 (pretty sure that’s what it was) for $30 off.
The payload won’t make much deference in efficiency. Speed is the single biggest factor. I’d keep to 70mph. You can use your weather app on your phone to check wind...
Whew, same! All that for two clicks. But...
"Congratulations! Your Fast Charging Adapter is in Production.
Demand is very high, but we are working to get your no-cost adapter to you as soon as possible"
Guess they only had 8,000
You pay sales tax on all rebates and manufacture incentives. Dealer discounts are true price reductions and not taxed.
And if you trade in a vehicle, that will also lower your sales tax liability.
Tried it out again today. I left it set at my normal 90% charge limit. It hit the 90% at 0035 and was set to precondition for 0825 departure.
Had a completely different experience than when I did the same thing but clicked the "Charge to 100%" button.
I first checked it at 0743 and it was...
I recently got an Bluetooth OBD2 and car Scanner. I wasn’t looking closely enough but set for a departure time and did the “Charge to 100%”. I checked a half hour before I left (pre conditioning seems to start 15-20 min before departure) and the battery was at 100%. I forget exactly where it...
