@hb.sagen
DAB is apart of the ACM.. THe ACM would have to be replaced.
OTAs half the time do not work here. THe FDRS thread is 100s of pages on this and the ICE Forum.
" So the eu spec apims are just normal apims with different voice and map files installed? "
Correct.
The OS versions dont determine the language. The VOICE files do. THere are voice files for ROW and MAp files for ROW. ROW is for all countries outside North America
The Lightning uses Garmin Maps so technically if you knew how you can delete the voice files and Map files you can then...
Glad you made it out safe. I cant lie that this is a fear of mine.
I hope you get made whole from this.
If someone knows or could enlighten me..
How does a situation like this get handled? Does Ford have some liability in this type of fire? Does Ford send someone out to look at the...
The battery in these things are pathetic.. especially for the motor in the tailgate. ITs bad enough in the ice trucks.. but in the lightning its ridiculous.
They are slow, they struggle and the way the tailgate works it can get a bit slanted and if one latch starts to latch and the other...
None.. My truck is all stock.. minus the Sun visor.. Its a platinum.. so nothing really to change out.
I dont have any As build changes.
My other 24 Flash did the same thing.
Every time you connect it you have to go to the charging screen and verify the start time is correct. My truck is set to 12AM.. and every time I connect it says waiting to charge at 6:15 or some random time..
So what I do is go to the main screen and refresh the truck and then check again.
I...
Even if you remove the module creating the isolation fault? (Not arguing for my own knowledge) I figured once the module that was internally shorted you could at least get back up for protection status
I wish I could help in some way..
If this were me.. I would disconnect the PTC heater. Its a HV module BUT I am fairly sure you could do it safely if you disable the HV system First.. All you need to do is disconnect the HV connector and leave it alone. If you have some way to take it up so...
The CMR can do that for 30 mins but over 2 hours.. No Ive not seen that.
If you cancel it out the CMR will be purple in FDRS.. you can either start the update again or run a PMI.
If you cancel it out and try to restart it and it isnt communicating then lock the truck walk away 30-45 mins...
Ive been happy with My lightnings AC and Heat. Granted doesnt get too cold here but it kept up fine with 10 degrees we had here a day this week. THe summer now.. that is a real test and the AC gets very cold no problem.
They have had several vehicles include a 3 year pre payment. So Im sure a lot of it is due to that. They are even starting to have a 3 year Sirius prepayment along with a prepayment for connectivity
My truck had the 3 years included.
The ethernet codes are more likely to be the issue.
Its the Blue connector at the TCU. Make sure its connected. I dont have the vin but it could be the gateway is bad.
Do you remember if you had any OTA prior to this issue?
