If the truck has "built in navigation" then you will have navigation all of the time via, GPS. If it doesn't have built in navigation then the system is only relying on cellular connectivity.

Your correct, according to Ford this will not be fixed via. OTA and we will need to go to the dealer OR go the FDRS route. I'm fine with it because I have a recall that needs to addressed anyway. At least knowing they have a fix hopefully they wont brick my truck!
