  1. Any experience using command hooks on your paint?

I did this last year, but stuck to the plastic around the top of the bed. I didnā€™t trust anything on the paint, lol. It was still very festive (I think). The larger ā€œbulbā€ lights stood out much better than the small ones. (I hadnā€™t thought about this pic since last year. Dog I love this truck...
  2. TSB/Safety Recall 23S30: Rear Light bar Replacement for 2022-23 F-150 Lightning

Can confirm the white lights below the red light bar are burning out from moisture intrusion. I noticed it a few days before the recall letter came in. I had my phone in my pocket while walking towards the rear of the truck. Proximity triggers the lights to come on, and the light bar was...
  3. What did you drive before your Lightning?

I traded in my 2015 C-Max Energi plugin-hybrid with a little over 206k miles for a ā€™22 Lightning Lariat ER. While I liked the C-Max, I love my Lightning and do ā€œtruckā€ things nearly every weekend. Itā€™s so nice having a truck bed again, especially living in rural South Georgia on 8 acres. It...
  4. How far have we gone? Your Lightning mileage?

There were some problems with early production runs with water getting into the electronics controlling the pneumatics covered under warranty. I think similar in issue to moisture in the rear light bar (which I also have come to think of it, the recall is pending parts).
  5. How far have we gone? Your Lightning mileage?

Took delivery of a Lariat ER July 7, 22 and have 27619 miles. Frunk issue within first month, fixed under warranty. Everything else has been golden other than the dang active air dam errors, but those have reduced in frequency with updates. I did run out of charge one driving home...
  6. Poll - If you have your charge station pro installed is it working correctly ?

Thanks TaxmanHog!!! I checked the app this morning and the CSP was indeed back! Weā€™ve had bad storms with multiple hours of power outages across several days the last week. Those reboots did the trick. šŸ¤£ Speaking of power outages. Sparky did FANTASTIC at powering the house. I only used the 110...
  7. Poll - If you have your charge station pro installed is it working correctly ?

I had to derate my CSP to 60 amps the day after I installed it. South Georgia is hot and humid. It's not a big deal as the truck easily charges overnight. My biggest problem is it will not stay connected to WiFi. I tried setting it up initially. Would never come up in the app. Kill power and...
  8. First BlueCruise Oddities

Update. Yesterday was a day. I didnā€™t get a chance to pull the battery off the truck. BlueCuise wouldnā€™t engage on the interstate during my commute. I had to use the restart to recover from a completely dark Sync screen and one of the animations became partially ā€œstuckā€ on the instrument cluster...
  9. First BlueCruise Oddities

Also Iā€™ve always been curious if other BkueCruise users have problems at the same spot. Would be interesting to see if itā€™s truck specific, or something else.
  10. First BlueCruise Oddities

I do have to say until recently it has worked remarkably well, other than a few known spots. Iā€™m considering pulling the negative battery terminal to let the system fully restart. Itā€™s had some freezes with the last frame of an animation overlayed on the live view, and Sync has required multiple...
  11. First BlueCruise Oddities

I have. I routinely check the one near the hood emblem, the ones on the front mirrors, and make sure the windshield is clean.
  12. First BlueCruise Oddities

Whether they document it anywhere or not, something else interacts with the Speed Sogn Recognition system. I know of three spots where it will change speeds incorrectly on highways with no signs on either side of the road. After the first two times I pulled over and looked for anything it could...
  13. First BlueCruise Oddities

Iā€™m positive. This is on Interstate 75 with no construction that has never had any issues in the last 11 months. Nothing has changed with the interstate. No new signage at all. This was BlueCruise making a decision with no known inputs for the change. The thing is Iā€™m confident the problem will...
  14. First BlueCruise Oddities

11 months and 23k miles in and Iā€™ve never had any major issues with BlueCruiseā€¦ until yesterday. I am aware of the limitations and capabilities of the system and know when to ā€œwatch outā€œ for oddities, like some lane drift beside on/off ramps on the interstate. I basically have a 25 miles daily...
  15. Trailer harness Y-splitter disables cross traffic alert

I had to wire directly into a the lead going to the tail light when I connected my hitch light. I believe there is a way to put a resistor on it, but splicing is splicing so went the other route.
  16. 50,000 miles - What a long, strange trip it's been.

Great write up! Thank you for sharing! Oof. And I thought I was driving a lot. I received my Lightning (Sparky) July 7, 2022 and just passed 22k miles. Like you I live in a very rural area (South Georgia). 30 miles sounds about right to get to just about anything. šŸ˜‚ I had a Ford C-Max Energi...
  17. Anyone want to share current financing rates, just want to make sure dealer is being square.

I was lucky enough to secure 3.99% for 84 months in July 2022 via Ford Credit. They were by far the least expensive.
  18. Windshield replaced?

Your insurance won't cover it? I have State Farm and they offer 3 "incidents" every 3 years for stuff like this with no impact on premiums. Ironically my partner just had his Explorer windshield replaced for the same thing yesterday free from State Farm. Having said that, a coworker also had...
  19. New Frunk in Town- Cybertruck Beta Videoed

To each their own, but I have the Lightning because I need a truck. Ford has really added so much value to the Lightning, but ultimately the Lightning is also an evolution of the F150 platform. Things like notches in the bed giving us the ability to make fully loadable areas, tie downs, etc. To...
  20. F-150 Lightning Electrical System Overview – w/ 12v Battery, Power and Ground Points

I can confirm the 110 outlets can be enabled while driving. I pulled a parade float last year and ran an amp and speakers for the float from the rear outlets. If I accidently leave the cover open in the frunk (have to show off all the bells and whitles sometimes, lol) I get a prompt on the...
