  1. One Pedal vs Two Pedal Driving — which is more efficient?

The most efficient mode will be 2 pedal with the least aggressive "coasting" regen.... BUT, the difference between that mode and 1 pedal is so small that 95% percent of drivers will not be able to notice the difference. Bottom line, use the mode you like, the functional efficiency of all the...
  2. Question about real battery capacity, charging to “100%” (notice the quotes)

I do not disagree with your statements. My point is if the poster has his truck 7 years from now, and charges to 100% once in a while, then the remaining battery "% of new capacity" might be 91%, instead of the 92% percent he would have had if he only went to 80% every time or only topped it at...
  3. Failed attempt at using Tesla DCFC

Most chargers start with a communication event, then an Isolation Test, then turning on the juice. Appears the Isolation test may have failed. Hard to say without being there.
  4. Notice From Ford: Battery Replacement Needed

Cells are individual pouches. Cells are combined into arrays. Arrays add the cell voltages, and are roughly 330volts. 4 (SR) or 5 (ER) are paralleled into a battery pack.
  5. Why isn't the 12v battery always charged?

Not all modules are A/B, some are still erase and replace.
  6. Software Updates

Under "Schedule Updates", go in and select every day. Have a good cellular connection to AT&T is helpful.
  7. What do you set your "Home" charge limit to?

I would charge to 100% at a Level 3 (DCFC) every time, as I don't know anyone who lives at a DCFC station. 99.9999% of people who would fast charge to 100% will immediately drive their vehicle, so leaving your vehicle at 100% after fast charging is essentially not possible. If you pay to...
  8. Range took a huge drop

How much range does your gasoline vehicle lose when it gets cold?
  9. Anyone switch from a Tesla and regret it?

Tesla vehicle "durability" will be an issue for them as long as they have a California assembly plant. Why? The labor cost in California is the highest in the world, by a substantial margin. How do you make up for that? You design a vehicle with a focus on minimizing the number of parts/parts...
  10. OTA 3.5.2

So... guess the "OTA on" rate for F-150 owners? All owners, not just BEV. OK, spoiler, about half. So, despite the outrage on most forums about slow/no OTAs, most of all y'all don't give a rip. So, how do you gently prod people to turn on OTA? You send them a nice notification.
  11. Stolen Vehicle Services

Law enforcement agencies with the proper authority can request vehicle location to help recover stolen vehicles.
