I've been watching used SR prices drop, but I was wondering whether a 150 mile round trip commute is risky in western WA winter? My wife does that one or two days a week. First half is open freeway, traffic starts around Everett and goes down to Bellevue. Same on the way back.
Best April Fools ever. Had me wait two years for a $40k truck. Nice one, Ford.
I put $2k and a couple weekends into reviving my old 1st gen Tacoma that'd been rotting under a tree and spent the other $30k on a new to me boat. Still got $8k left over for gas.
Well, I was trying to find an IONIQ5 or EV6 before the bill was signed (I didn't find one). But I noticed today the dealers have dropped the ADM on the very few Ioniq5s that are out there.
Quick scan -- most of these vehicles sell for over the cap. E.g. Lucid Air is on the list... but not only can't you buy a Lucid Air realistically, but it's over the cap.
I haven't read the bill, but I'm hoping, if we're going to throw a bunch of money at the problem, there is money for charging cuz big batteries matter less when you can fast charge in a few minutes... I watched a review of the Genesis GV60 (800 volt system) and IIRC it was 18 minutes to charge...
It seems inevitable we will have some conflict with them. Don't want to end up in the situation in which Germany finds itself-- crunch time and DE caves to a geopolitical adversary because it's dependant on their exports.
It's not necessarily that. The extra $7500 takes it from splurge expense to totally stupid expense. I might still bite for a Pro-- but I'd be better off getting a Lariat Maverick TBH for that money. As has been discussed elsewhere here, that $7500 is not really for the consumer, but for the...
I once bought my work van in December from halfway across the country (got a smoking deal). They were supposed to deliver it by end of year since I wanted to Section 179 (item must be placed into service in same year as purchase). There were some weather issues. Then delivery driver was two...
This is a bummer as I've been following reviews of all the EVs out there and Hyundai and Kia seem to be at the top-- kudos to them for totally transforming. I had a '90 Hyundai and it was the worst car I ever owned. I'm all for making s*** in the USA, but, uh, I guess giving GM 7.5k more for...
I test drove a base Maverick hybrid. I daily drove a base 98 Tacoma for 7 years and that thing was super reliable but it sucked. Wow trucks have come a long way. Maverick is surprisingly good. My only complaint is the cabin noise was not so great-- I know the higher trims have an acoustic...
Well I've heard at least 3 people describe the Lightning as handling "like a GTI." Well, I owned a GTI and no, it does not. Like you said, it's still a full size pickup, although it does that real well.
How is the Maverick? What trim did you get? I was impressed with the one I sat in but did not get to drive it. Yes the interior was cheaper materials but it was done in clever ways. I don't recall how roomy the backseat was. We've had our in laws with us for three weeks and it's like a five...
Yeah if you can stomach the limitations, I think it'd be great. The XLT extras don't seem worth the extra money, but given how hard the Pro is to get, how much gas $$$ will be spent delaying 1-2 years to bag a Pro? Re: SR vs ER, lately I think the ER is not worth it, whether I have 230 or 300...
I had a half hour test drive in an F150 Lariat yesterday. Just to set some context, as it’s important in reviews IMO: I’ve driven and owned quite a few vehicles in my life (including 18 months as a Zamboni and shuttle van driver), but a full size pickup is not one of them.
I sat in a Pro...
I'm curious WHEN we will hear about the price increases. If the $7500 credit goes away and prices go up a few K by the time I order one, the Lariat Extended is a harder sell. We could probably do 70% of our driving with a cheaper EV cross over. I'm going to test drive a Ioniq5 later this week...
