  1. 2023 F-150 Lightning gets price cuts! (7/17/23). Pro now starts at $51,990. XLT priced from $56,990

It seems that $50k is the new $40K, with Chevy having that as the target for the base WT Silverado in late 2024. You can have a F150 Pro for low $50s in early 2024, or hold out and hope for a base Chevy WT....eventually...at a price that is TBD. That's the way I see it anyway, for those who are...
  2. Advice buying used

I think a $70K budget for a used Lariat ER is not unreasonable. If that's what you want, then hold out if you can until you find it, rather than settle for an SR.
  3. How many Lightnings have you seen in the wild?

I may have seen you. I saw a carbonized grey, but do not recall the license plate.
  4. How many Lightnings have you seen in the wild?

6-7 F150L sightings on the road, but think I've seen the same white and AMB ones more than once. Saw 2 Rivians & 1 hummer in my neighborhood, Long Island.
  5. [Updated with Ford statement 2/15/23] 🛑 Lightning Stop Production / Stop Shipment Issued (due to potential battery issue)

I am not sure that storing a battery at full charge for weeks on end is a good thing. Perhaps state of charge matters?
  6. How much $$$ do you make?

My income and creditworthiness suggests that I can afford an XLT (and have solar to charge the truck battery for little or no cost). However, I cannot justify buying one. I could justify a $40k Pro net $7500 tax credit and $2,000 NYS drive clean rebate, but never got the opportunity to buy one...
  7. Lowering Lightning height by a couple inches

It depends how much you use the bed, but leaviing the requisite load in the bed will lower the ride and would not void your warranty. Plus removing the load restores the bed for whatever you might need to haul.
  8. I'm Curious, How Many People Are Considering Not Taking Delivery?

I would not trust a dealer's word....but that's just me. The dealer is supposed to provide paperwork to Ford that you canceled the order as part of Ford trying to keep dealers on the straight and narrow. Just the fact that the dealer isn't asking you sign paperwork indicating that you do not...
  9. I'm Curious, How Many People Are Considering Not Taking Delivery?

Are you concerned about the loss of any downpayment? If so, that's best sorted out with the dealer (at management level). Never got to the order stage, so don't know if you can cancel online or if dealer has to do it.
  10. Are there any new features, looks or anything on 2023 Lightning compared to 2022?

I think lime green summed it up well. There has been so much griping (justified in my view) about the feature deletions for pitiful credits, I did not care to attempt to list them and sparking another gripe session.
  11. Are there any new features, looks or anything on 2023 Lightning compared to 2022?

I think you pay more and get less, sums it up.
  12. 1,920 Ford dealers have enrolled in Model e program for 2024-2026 period

I could be mistaken, but believe there are federal incentives for installing L3 chargers....perhaps I read it in one of the proposed bills rather than the bill that was approved. Not looking to make this political...just saying dealers should look into whether there are incentives for L3 and...
  13. 1,920 Ford dealers have enrolled in Model e program for 2024-2026 period

Happy for Ford and ok with being wrong again. I did not expect that many dealers to go model e.
  14. Looks like the SCALPING market is dead (for now).

It will be interesting what the market thinks of the F150L in 2-3 years. Will it depreciate like an ICE F150 or like an early EV, before the Covid nonsense.
  15. Looks like the SCALPING market is dead (for now).

I am wondering what a 2022-2023 Pro with ER battery (fleet) in good condition will go for in 2024-2025.
  16. Today is a big Ford dealer deadline - EV Certified Mandates & Model e sign-up

I think the dealership cabal will figure out a way to maintain the status quo. Hope to be wrong though.
  17. 40k Silverado EV WT pricing LMFAO 🤣🤣🤣

I still have silverado and lightning reservations, but looks likely I will buy neither. Oh well.
  18. How does refund process work if I cancel my reservation?

When you cancel, the dealer will refund the $100 deposit, which now has the purchasing power of about $89 compared to when you paid the deposit. 😄 The refund process is perhaps the only process that Ford perfected.
  19. Q32022 Earnings call - adding shifts, '23 tax rebate $3750

I am not into more Fed involvement generally, but much more transparency is needed.
