Just had an OTA update today and I can't figure out what they updated. When I look on Ford pass, it just says Bug fixes and other updates but does not say what problems they were fixing, or what they were improving.
Has anyone noticed a difference after an update?
I have read that android auto 6.1 is coming out and will have the fix. It's not a Ford problem from what I have read. My AA is version 6.0. Hopefully they announce when the update is available.
If you play a FLAC or Hi Res audio song you can hear the headrest speakers and the roof. You will have to turn your head and put your ear on each side of the head rest and up to the roof. Surround setting will definitely include the roof and headrest.
Here is a link to some high res jazz...
So, I have a issue as well with wireless AA. I have a subscription to the AT&T WiFi for my office to use phones etc as wifi hotspot. My WiFi will not work with AA. It kicks each other out of the system and AA seems to win. I can't get internet access through the AA though. Weird.
There are a couple of things that I am trying to figure out. Most true audiophile systems are designed to work in Stereo. Surround is more of a movie atmosphere. The best sound in audiophile systems comes from a wire, not wireless. At least the home audio systems that run about 100 grand...
Dolby atmos on my Samsung S20+, using android auto, YouTube music streaming rate High quality and equalizer on the phone and truck is flat across the board, Middle of the range on all settings.
My truck showed up, but it is missing the wheel well liners. I took a sneak peek at it and snapped a picture.
Here is the difference between the 2018 with liners and my 21 without.
.
I listened to the B and O unleashed in a Platinum and it was amazing.
It is much Better than the B and O system that is currently in my 18 F150.
Also the B and O system in my 18 was significantly better than the Sony I had in my 15 F150.
For $800 bucks you can't beat it IMO.
I found this in the Canadian order guide. It says B and O is Optional on XLT 302A and standard on Lariat.
The unleashed is optional on the 502A high Lariat.
See below screen shot.
I spend a lot of time in my truck. It's my office and I had the opportunity to speak to a marketing Rep who had a test mule in Ontario.
I flat out asked him what the difference was between the two systems.
He said that both are good, but the Unleashed is as good as or better than the best...
That's what I was told by my dealership. I have an 18 F150 with the B and O.
They say it is 10 speakers including the sub, in my 18 F150.
It is way better than the Sony system that I had in my 15 F150.
I went with the unleashed for my 21.
From what I understand, you get the base B and O sound system which is also available from 2018 to 2020.
I believe it's 9 speakers and the subwoofer 640 watts.
The B and O unleashed is 18 speakers and 1040 watts.
