It could be update related. It seems the trucks that got updates later on magically started getting faults. The truck themselves are not great at keeping up with updates, many have had to use a mongoose cable to get up to date, but i'd still stick a bypass on there once the update does hit...
If anyone is in a rush to get a frunk bypass we have 6 ready to go, so once those 6 are gone, we will be in a sold out and any remaining orders will be in a preorder phase. Here is the link to order from the batch of 6 that are ready to ship.
The proto frunk bypasses have proven to work great in the field so far, we are building up stock as we speak and hope to launch very soon! I will follow up with an exact date of when we expect to launch, and when we launch, I will post a link to the bypass. Thank you for your patience so far...
We will dig into the mounting location more and see if we can make any improvements. Perhaps we need to include the extension harness to provide better reach to a mounting location.
You guys can check the links in my signature for a bypass on the external speaker. We also have a frunk bypass as well in the works since Ford no longer lets you just unplug it like the original method I discovered and did a write up on.
Just someone that uses their truck everyday and uses the frunk maybe 3-5 times a week, normal usage just to put it through its paces. I would just send the proto part to that individual.
Phew that took forever, but we finally have a proto complete. We wanted to make sure we had everything covered and needed to double check a lot of things that we discovered as we went though this.
Hi Alex I believe we did reach back out but maybe it was caught in your spam folder? Anyways...
Sadly no  I am waiting on a lightning to become available for prototyping and it is not available yet for me to use. Due to some varied reports i've seen, I need to dig further into the truck to ensure our beta will be safe for release
Thanks a ton, I did the same as you and got the buzzer as well from Ebay. I ohm'd it out to 22 ohms though. Now I am hunting down the OEM housing, terminals and seals. Finding overseas connectors though is always the hardest. EDIT: I guess I spoke too soon, found everything I need! Hopefully...
On it! Going to try and get my hands on a lightning this month and figure something out. It should be a lot cheaper and easier to make than my existing bypass too based on what i've seen here. I'm glad it doesnt throw a dash code, but like others said it may be problematic and will certainly...
Always good to get the kids involved and glad you can enjoy the truck in peace now . Still pretty bummed that the author of that video gave zero credit to megaohm...Oh well.
Appreciate the shoutout!
What many don't realize is that FMVSS is the body that establishes these rules, which are minimum performance requirements for manufacturers, not the end user. The end user can do whatever they would like with the speaker at this moment.
