I appreciate the in-depth write up @euchre_u ...I went to a place in midtown called AFS. Think they did an OK job. I think if I were to do it over again, I would get the full hood. I already have a chip on the upper portion where there's no PPF from my trip to Kerville last weekend...
This was a factor for me as well. A lot of chrome on the front, but I decided to do it anyways. My main concern was the hood, I hated the rock chips on my previous vehicle. To each there own I guess
thanks for your input - narrowed it down to Bakflip MX4 and Leer HF650. Thought I wanted a soft cover but others on this thread have convinced me otherwise
Updates for those who were on the fence like I was, here’s what it looks like:
Bubbles will go away eventually, they told me to come back in two weeks for a check up. I feel a lot better about the truck now. Here in Houston, there’s tons of debris getting kicked up on your vehicle. My last ride...
Went ahead and did the partial front coverage today - Xpel 8mil. Want prepared to do the full front, as that would have put me back $2100.I still want to get some other accessories
Just curious who out there had paint protection film applied. Obviously this isn't something exclusive to the F150,; I've never had it done but am considering. I can see myself keeping this truck for a while. Thoughts?
Is this the tonneau that Linex themselves sells? Just got the bed sprayed at at a Linex store a couple days ago and I think I saw some in there and that name sounds familiar. You definitely know that coating would hold up
I’m having a lot of problems getting them in as well. I had The bed sprayed with Linex; thinking thats part of the issue. About to go back out and remove the brackets to see if that helps, I’d hate To have to file these down
Thats two votes for the access cover. I need to check that one out for sure.
Btw I see you’re running the wildpeak tires - how do you like those? Do you like running the stock size too? I was considering running the tremor size, 275/70/18
Thanks for the reply - for me I think I need something that allows a little more access but hey, to each there own!
Thats The lightest configuration you can option I’m pretty sure. Bet that thing flys
Hadnt heard of this one until now - I’ll have to take a look. About 100$ less than the Leer I was looking at and claimed “waterproof”. Big selling point there
