why would some supercharger locations not show up in the tesla app when I tell them I have an adapter- are there earlier superchargers that still aren't compatible? I know of at least two supercharger clusters in my local area (the mall and the tesla store) that aren't showing up in the app.
I put in my request to PG&E for one of those meters, but since I'm not in a fire hazard area I'm expecting it will be denied. Hopefully they will eventually open it up to more locations. Since we don't have A/C I'm sure i can easily run the entire house from the 240v outlet on the truck.
if your vehicle shut down with the battery at 50% then you have a pretty big problem and should call your dealership asap.. The pro power message is just a warning to stop using pro power under a user-defined limit so you can have enough power to drive home from the worksite for example. That...
the output of pro power is dependent on battery state, not input power. So it's the second of your statements above. If the pro power usage is more than what's going in via 120V then the battery will slowly go down, but very slowly. Moving the truck takes a lot more power than just about...
did you ever get a more technical answer as to why the DC fast charging didn't work when it had worked on a different vehicle? Maybe the residual power in the battery is higher at 0% on a Ionic than a Ford?
I see the link on my account. It just doesn't go to a page where I can order one. It goes to the connected services page, where I can see links about bluecruise, blue oval charging, Siri, etc. I've even clicked through all of those to see if the adapter was one level down but it's not.
has anyone ordered one of these lately? The website says orders are open through June, but all the links point to the general account website and I can't find a spot to actually sign up for an adapter.
with the key in, it's hitting the A pillar when at high speeds. They probably misaligned it after the wiper motor recall. I'll pull the key out and put it a few notches lower.
bumping this again, I don't see a way to adjust the wiper arm with the key in place. Is the solution to remove that metal piece above and just reposition it without it in there? Does that serve any purpose other than initially lining it up?
thanks for the recommendations, I did manage to get the wiper arm off but I think I didn't move it down enough. At least now I know how the fix it myself, and save a trip to the dealership.
last night I was driving in some heavy rain, and this is the first rain we've had since I had the wiper motor recall performed. At higher wiper speeds I could hear the wiper hitting the edge of the windshield and striking the A pillar- has anyone else seen this? Do the wipers have a range of...
check the rear light bar, that's a known place where water can get in. I fried mine in a carwash and it was sizzling for a bit before it completely failed. The part is being recalled but for now I have no backup light.
Are you sure there's no DC fast charging stations anywhere near where you are going or along the way? In general it would be much faster to just spend 30 min at one of these than trying some elaborate setup of plug adapters and extension cords for minimal charge. Plugshare is a great research...
glad this fixed your issue. When mine when out I could no longer charge at home and got the red ring every time I tried AC charging. DCFC was working fine, but they had to replace my entire charging port and the onboard AC-DC converter, which required waiting on a part for a week or more and...
Just had mine in for the 10k service yesterday. They have the wiper motor and light bar on order. No issues with performing the service. I think your dealership is being a little too conservative on recall items.
The two tesla CCS locations in CA are shown on plugshare, they put in a filter that lets you search for it. The one in Placerville is great for Tahoe travel, but the one in Scotts Valley is a destination place unless you take back roads to/from the bay area.
