If the lightning stops production as previously announced and the T3 is delayed, will there be a year with no ford ev truck? Or will they extend lightning Production.
I also think they should keep making the edge. Everyone I know who had it has liked it. For that matter the fusion is such a...
Alot of these influencers will make better instructions on how to use the stuff than Ford will. So it reduces the amount of effort Ford has to spend on customer service if the influencers get ahead of the line and create the more usable instructions for them.
Dang.. We all know that the Batteries are expensive, but Ford really needs to do more to control costs on things like tail lights. I know they are packing some sensors in there, but that kind of cost is unsustainable. Taillights break. They have to get that down.
If It's largely cosmetic in nature keep the cash and have the first lightning hooptie. I'd love to see if they break down the estimate to some degree of line-item.
I'm indifferent about the door. I prefer to avoid motors whenever something can be done manually without too much effort. Motors inevitably die and are more expensive to replace. I guess they were trying to "hide" the charge port..... which is ironic with the front light bar screaming I'm a...
I'm sure Ford is going to follow through. The less they say now the less they have to correct later. They'll probably wait til its 2 days away from going completely live. So few people will be fully equipped and ready to use it that it will give Ford/Tesla ability to support that trickle of...
An interesting note that is slightly more on topic. A Cybertruck forum member flew into LAX and asked to rent a model Y and they gave a a silverado EV unicorn instead. 367 Mile range 100% charge.

I'd be pushing for a full replacement. Let them fix it and re-sell it as used and take the hit themselves. They've got business insurance too. I'm sure they could find an available new platinum. I'd be paranoid about the possibility of driving around with undiagnosed damage always wondering if...
I like my lightning a lot. However, If I had been Ford CEO back when Farley made the decision on it, I would have electrified the Ranger instead. The rest of the world are not "big-truck" people other than Australia. The rest of the world wants a truck the size of the ranger. If ford had run...
Ford's warranty on the battery is as much a guessing game for them too I suspect. They don't have a hundred years experience building/selling/replacing batteries. They bought some insurance themselves along with some contracts with SK that says SK is on the hook for XX% and Ford is on the hook...
Warranty:
8YR/100,000 ELECTRIC VEHICLE COMPONENTS
I Think alot of people are going to watch that like a hawk as they near the limit. If the battery isn't within the specs near end of warranty people are going to file claims. In 8 years they wont have any original 23 SK batteries on the shelf...
That first appeared back when they were "fixing" stickers during that big huge price drop last year. However they continued to publish those( vin specific bonus cash) on trucks made after the big price drop but i believe there is some sort of campaign number or something that differs from the...
Ford gave their math and marketing people a month to react to CT Pricing and apparently they felt they could squeeze more out of the bottom trims. Oct/Nov 23 was probably the best time to buy. Shame to see Mache E losing all rebates.
Those are some interesting images in the patent filing. It kinda takes the raw open space of the lightning frunk and turns it into cubbies and drawers. It seems a little taller and less deep to achieve that cab forward design. It kills the 2 golf bag idea but still seems usable for the trades...
