Pretty hard to believe they needed an additional $300 a year for just those changes....and for the record...if you had an annual subscription already..you had the ability to use IDS or FJDS already..but most of us were just using FDRS. I already had the ability to use IDS on my older ICE...
Also, for those who may not know this, or just jumping in to the FDRS arena...don't look up VINs of vehicles outside of your home region (US, EU, etc.). Doing so will cause Ford Cyber Security to flag and block your account. And since they do not make it easy to contact them to find out what the...
No. Truck running powers the DC-DC converter which provides charging current to the 12V battery.
Recommend doing BMS learned values reset followed by a drive of half an hour or longer (or just turn the truck on and let it run until the shutdown timer turns it off).
Yeah, there is no button for lane centering...that's a subfunction of the cruise control.
Lane keeping button when pressed *should* let you wander all over the place and not nag you about keeping your hands on the wheel. I just leave it turned on and jerk the wheel every ten seconds instead...
Still the same price (at Ford dealers) as they were when I bought them...$367, and the special they're running of getting $100 back or 22,000 Ford points is still going on...and the parts counter guy can also authorize an additional $80 discount if you're military or first responder.
Load index...
BTW...there is no way to turn off the nanny-cams.....they are on all the time, even when you aren't using ADAS to assist you. I get warned sometimes about watching the road and I don't even have cruise control on...or for that matter I get warned to keep my hands on the wheel...when they're on...
My take on the battery change is that they belatedly realized that going with the SR battery was a mistake. It's my view they should have gone with the ER battery for all trims regardless from the beginning. I knew when I ordered (having driven a '21 MME for almost a year) that the ER battery in...
Well there was no way to OTA a BCM in combo with the APIM.
I suppose what they *could* have done was a BCM OTA bundled with a config update to the APIM to enable the toggles...but that would have meant two (or more) different software teams coordinating together to push this out...and getting...
WAL rollout was/is a two-step operation.
The first OTA (or update via FDRS) was to enable the actual feature in the BCM (body controller) and when that happened it was "On" by default with no way to turn it off.
The second OTA (or update via FDRS) is for the APIM (Sync) that enables the hidden...
I agree...but that's exactly what I end up doing everytime I pull into some parking lot space to make sure I'm staying within my lane space lines, and am not too close to the parked vehicle in front of me.
I think the reason it doesn't is that it would be bringing up the front camera in situations where it's not just low-speed parking maneuvers...like slowing to a stop behind others at a traffic light, etc. Could be annoying if it brought up the front camera everytime you got close to anything...
Part of the console itself, and is the part of the console that the armrest hinge attaches to.
I'd go with "Plan B" on the size of the mattress rather than removing anything.
I have that same unit. Works great.
Couple of things struck me as odd though.
So this WallBox unit is controlled/connected to a circuit that's on somebody else's property?
How long is the run?
It's possible that whoever is the owner of the circuit it's connected to intentionally dialed it...
FDRS Updated again...and there's more clarity on the difference between the two versions now.
So what we 'Independents' have been using is now referred to as the "Legacy" version of FDRS, that relies on a 20 digit license activation code. Ford has rolled out a new method for dealerships (and...
And now there's an update to the original TSB 23-2316 out this morning....TSB 25-2446.
If the conditions are met on your '22 or '23 Lightning, the fix is an update to the powertrain modules.
