I thought about this... but where they really really get you is the seats. I just couldn't live without the XLT seats with Heat. Any plans to try and upgrade yours?
Its some wire, maybe copper, that connects two pins on one side to two pins on the other over 5-6 inches using established connector standards. It's just not a big engineering challenge compared to say the NACS plug end itself. At scale, these adaptors are not going to have a very high bom...
So the adapter doesn't do any contact switching at all? All its doing is passing the DC pins straight from one end to the other? Jeez, thats pretty cheap and crappy. I thought the whole reason we were all waiting on these adapters was due to engineering and the complexity of the device. But it...
What if we pushed the whole CCS assembly back a bit, permanently attached the NACS adaptor to our CCS port, then had a new face plate over the adaptor so it just looks like its stock NACS?
We'd need what, 6" or so and a new faceplate?
Or... just burry the whole thing (CCS and NACS adaptor)...
I have this and love it. Wish they made matching ones for the door armrests. You do need to remove it though to use the work surface properly. Easy enough to take off / on
I got my AMP boards from @Realtruck and love them. One of the best value for money mods IMO. My only wish would be for the OEM zone lighting to be integrated into the step like the factory boards have. The lights the AMP kit comes with are weak and cheap looking. I didn't bother installing them.
That's helpful - before I reach out to my insurance, do you think I would have trouble getting them to use this windshield part number would they only want to replace it with standard factory part, or some other generic?
how much are the replacements costing you guys? I got a crack over the weekend and need one now. I've got a $1000 deductible so assuming this will be out of pocket for me.
This doesn't bother me as we know the 2025 is bringing some big changes. Its going to be a hard sell with 24's given whats being offered next year (NACS, Heat Pump). It seems to make sense to cutback now and ramp up 25 production at the end of the year. Though it would seem to be a good time to...
I have the factory bed liner and honestly I wouldn't do the OEM one again. They don't remove the bed tie downs or bed bolts before applying the coating and mine had some noticeable overspray below the tailgate.
I had Line-X done on my Tundra and that was far and away done better. Its maybe 20%...
I have the same issues. Happens regularly but totally randomly. I find that transfering to call audio to my phone then back to the truck fixes it temporarily.
I've had it happen on three generations of the Samsung Z Flip.
I've been having the same problem but I don't even have a sunroof. So unsure but I've definitely had water on my driver side floor mats when the truck has been left in the rain over night.
no real complaints about the Lightning, but how I use my truck (runs to Home Depot and picking up random stuff), I think I'd be better off with a fully enclosed bed. The E-Transit seems reasonable, but I would then get something more sensible for parking in cities. I saw the new Disney 100 IONIQ...
I went all electric in 2013 and it took me a few years after to realize that I'll never buy another gas car. Others will eventually join when it makes sense for them. Charging still has a long ways to go. Hoping NACS will help
My Android cuts out and stutters all the time, occasionally the screen reboots. Does it both on AA and just normal bluetooth. I lose the ability to hear people though they can still hear me ok. Transfering the call back to my phone speaker and then back to the car usually works. But it does...
Sure is
Mainly I want to change the TPMS default value. My truck originally came with the 20in wheels which has a 42 PSI default and I now have the 18-in wheels which should be 36 PSI default.
But there's a couple items in the spreadsheet I see that I like to turn on
