With temps in the 40s-50s I'm guessing since the truck was on, it spent some of that energy warming up the battery pack.
We really need a proper camping mode, or at least the ability to keep the truck "off" and power the outlets.
I've been sticking with Tesla chargers (and a 1 month Tesla membership) with pretty good success - also travelling to Florida. There was one bad Tesla supercharger site in Woodbridge, VA that had 4 out of 12 chargers down - but the rest of the stops were all good.
If you have the Max Tow...
Just wanted to add some updates...
TL;DR;
Another leak found in the HVB cooling system.
I had another instance of charge speed reduction during a road trip a few months ago.
Same symptoms as before. Around 30% SoC - fast initial charge rate 170KW+ then quickly drops below 100KW and keeps...
If the 10.3.0 update was applied to your truck, it may have borked the charging locations. It did for me. There's a thread on that: 10.3.0_Removed_Charging_Locations
What fixed it for me was disconnecting my 12V battery for about 30 seconds and reconnecting it. Then initiating a charge at home...
Awesome! A well thought out setup. Appreciate the great details.
It's far beyond what I'll need, but it does give me some ideas for a retrofit to use RO. Thanks!
@Altivec great setup! How did you do your soft water setup? I'm considering it to avoid having to spend time drying off the truck after washing.
You must live in the warmer part of Edmonton. I visited the area last winter and they had a few days of -50C with the windchill. Flights were getting...
@Ford Motor Company great to see these improvements!
These are features we've been missing compared to what Tesla and Rivian have been offering. Hoping they're rolled out to us in a timely manner.
I had this happen the first time it tried to install 10.3.0.
Plugged it into the charger and then the update succeeded - seems like actively charging helps keep the 12v topped up better.
@Sdctcher I'm impressed with your adventurous spirit. Thanks for being a great part of this community. Wish you all the best on your travels!
I haven't tested it myself yet, but this might work.

I'd sit in them both and drive them to see which I liked better. They're both great for different reasons.
Being happy with my Lariat, I'd personally lean that way and add the extended warranty from Granger Ford.
This would be great to have until Ford gives us turn signal cams without a trailer. Do you have the Forscan codes to enable 50/50 view? I couldn't find them specific to Lightnings.
Just got 10.1.0 for my '22 Lariat ER.
It's a good update. Been a long time since I received a meaningful update.
The Google maps features are a welcome improvement. Now shows estimated battery level at arrival and it adds stops at EV chargers along the route if needed. It doesn't appear to...
I wish.
Watch the truck freak out - unless you come to a full and complete stop, put in park, wait for longer than you think, then finally push the frunk release button on the dash.
And good luck with all the beeping that ensues if you decide to put it into drive before the frunk has...
You might try removing the bottom cover in the frunk and measure the temperature after a drive. I've noticed that lower area gets fairly warm since it has an open drain to the area below - the components below give off a fair amount of heat.
Sounds like a great OTA.
Hope this actually rolls out.
We've become skeptical because there have been a lot of feature announcements without actual rollout (for example, Blue Cruise 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5).
Ok, is no one asking about this little item? Which update added this? Have a 2022 and have been missing having this useful piece of info when charging.
It's working on Android too.
You need Carscanner installed on your phone, then look for the Carscanner app in your list of Android apps on your truck's screen.
All the above mentioned bluetooth obd readers should work.
I'm using this one...
If you've already tried disconnecting and reconnecting the 12V battery and still seeing problems, then it sounds like it's time for a dealer visit to correct it.
The displays are pretty vital for operating the truck, so I'm sure they'll prioritize fixing yours.
